The end of Earth's immunity period draws ever closer. The game board of grand space politics is set; pieces are down, lines are drawn.

Native Earth factions now stand to defend their shared homeworld, and with them shoulder to shoulder are Humans from other worlds, the Miyelonians, the Geckho, the Jarg, the Cleopians, the Cyanids, the Esthetes, and the Crystallids—all those Kung Gnat was able to persuade. But the enemy is also extremely powerful—the Meleyephatian Horde, Trillians, and Composite are about to join forces in order to smother this new and quickly progressing galactic force before it gets off the ground.

Will our planet be able to fight off the highly powerful and aggressive space invaders who wish to enslave the people of Earth and even totally destroy our world?

The ending was incredibly rushed and left a bad feeling about how quickly it progressed. I really wished that it had been stretched to another book instead of rushing it

The last 30 minutes should've been half a book

Well I'm not sure if this is the end of the series but it's the end of a major arc. Overall I enjoyed the series especially books 5-11 with the new VA. I found the ending to be a bit disappointing. I was expecting more of a big space battle after all the build up. I wanted more space battle and less trickery diplomacy and a certain character sacrificing themselves. Still overall I recommend anyone who made here giving it a chance and I'll most likely try out the next book/series.

Pretty Good

Once again another amazing book I could not put it down. This series is amazing it has quickly become one of my favorites

No disappointments here

If you’ve gone this long in the series, you know what you’re getting into. This is another excellent entry in his series. This could possibly be the end. If so, I would be satisfied. But as he always, does he leave a little open in case he needs to come back.

Excellent possible into the series!

This was a very satisfying wrap up. The story stayed engaging until the end. Another excellent story. I was excited about how he connected TLoL and hope to see more but it looks like both series are now complete. Maybe we’ll see future crossovers in a new series to come.

Good conclusion

For what seems to be the final entry in the series this book really did nothing to amaze or impress me. The main character's successes feel like one deus ex machina after the next and his failures feel forced and contrived.

I also got the distinct impression that the author was fighting to keep to some word limit so we got a lot of tell and less show, plus the ending itself felt incredibly rushed and unsatisfying. The MC's views on a few things seem to 180 without warning and after it's all said and done things just feel like "Okay, back to business as usual." For the key motivation and culmination of the series the finale really left a lot to be desired as well as the epilogue.

A Disappointing Ending

To prevent any spoilers I'll just say I don't know what happened to the author for him to fall off so much in this last book but the plot armor is thick here. The other 11 books are well written but this one seems rushed and there are so many loose ends. If I had know this was how things would have ended I wouldn't have picked up the series. Gnat deserved a better ending than this. I can't recommend this series anymore. This has put me off looking into the authors new series.
