Publisher's summary

Solitude and motor oil meets soul food and wariness

I’m a grease-stained enigma.
A watcher, a protector, an ex-con, and a mechanic.

My name is Brick.
I’m old enough to know good things come to those who wait, and hungry enough to go after what I want.

I am a proud independent.
A nurturer, a cook, a casualty, and a grandparent.

My name is Lisa.
I’m cautious enough to keep my distance, and too wise to let a chance at love pass me by.

We seem unmatched—in race, in history, in lifestyle—but when tragedy leaves a baby in our care and a target on our backs, we discover the strength of family.
Unified.

love it

Freya Barker has a way with developing the characters and romance in her stories. A combination of intrigue, danger, secrets, enough to keep th is story interesting. A story of losing a daughter and finding love. The secrets surrounding his estranged daughter accident, leads to a murder investigation. That puts them all in danger
Tor Thom and Simone Guyana narration is very good. They depicted each character with emotion, perfectly telling THIS story. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest opinion.

Exceptional Story & Listen🎧Compelling & Heartfelt

I love, love, loved this book, the story does not just grab and captivate your attention the entire book but it pulls on your heartstrings the entire time too. Freya Barker is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and I think it is great how she covers and incorporates real-life and unpleasant situations into her stories, never overdoing it or being preachy about it, just keeps it meaningful and real which I appreciate. I also think it is great how her stories focus around more mature characters, ones that are settled into their life and have been around the block a few times. No one masters maturity quite like Freya Barker, and the depth and complexity of the characters. They are also realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, easy to care about them too, well except for the bad guys, the only thing I care about them is that justice is served. The Arrow’s Edge MC is no ordinary motorcycle club, they are so much more and do so much more, like looking out for others in need, including children and those who can not help themselves, even those who get themselves in trouble. This third book is Brick and Lisa’s story, they were introduced in earlier books, Lisa has not had the easiest of lives but she does not dwell on the past, she has her independence now and is taking care of her grandchildren and a job cooking meals for the members of the club, she also has a home thanks to the M.C. Brick, a mechanic in a garage owned but the M.C., he also operates the tow truck. He has had his eye on Lisa for a while but has never made a move on her, but he realizes life is too short and decides it is time. He also hears from his estranged daughter and then finds out she died in a car crash and leaves behind an infant son, Finn, who was named after him. Her reaching out to him was unexpected, but it turns out she was coming to see him and may have gotten herself in some kind of trouble, trouble that followed her to Arrow’s Edge. This amazing romantic suspense is wonderfully plotted with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, some angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense and a beautiful and steamy romance. I loved watching Brick and Lisa’s relationship grow, also loved how Brick handled his grandson. Freya Barker, thank you for another brilliant novel and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, once again, Freya Barker cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Both Simone Guyana and Tor Thom are natural talents and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, going each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, taking each role and making it their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the character to sound. Tor Thom played Brick’s role flawlessly, grasping his every emotion and had you feeling them, Simone Guyana did the same for Lisa. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

You can't go wrong with Freya!

I've enjoyed this series, 3 books in. Great Stories about adults!!!!

Brick and Lisa are a great couple. They are the poster "children" for the phrase, "Family is what you make it". Two unlikely people who find each other, drama, a gaggle of kids, an MC, intrigue, and the backdrop of beautiful CO.

Freya handles tough topics with style and grace. White supremacists, modern-day slavery, diverse families, illness, etc. She gently presents these situations and settles them in ways that just make you want to stand up and applaud and say, "You go girl!"

I love when authors write about people who could be your neighbors and put them in some pretty tight situations but the good guys almost always win. Her books give me hope and make me dare to dream for my own HEA, no matter what age I am.

Freya is a 1-click author for me. I'm dying for some of her other books to come out on audio.

I did listen to this. I always enjoy Tor Thom and was very happy with Simone Guyana (this was maybe a second listen for this narrator). Their speed was good, definitely made sure that characters sounded differently, and each character sounded like you would imagine them to be.

Freya, thank you for filling me with stories I can swoon over as I garden, quilt, and crochet. They are definitely a reason to wake up and get going in the morning even when my body tells me it's not moving. Thank you for creating stories that take me to another world.

Family!

Look at that cover with MC guy and baby- swoon! This is the third book in this series and I'm still not tired of this group. Great MC world with romantic suspense. Adult couple. Lots of kids and babies in this story.

Can be read as a standalone but highly recommend starting at the beginning for an even more enjoyable experience.

I enjoyed both the narrators. Simone Guyana is new to me and she fit the part of Lisa perfectly.
Small production error in Chapter 26 - the chapter narration cuts out and a piece of a previous chapter got inserted for ~10 seconds before going back to the chapter. It's not a huge thing but hopefully it gets fixed soon because it's distracting.

My Favorite of the Series So Far!

Brick is Lisa’s and her family’s self appointed protector within the Arrow’s Edge MC. When tragedy strikes leaving an infant in Bricks care, it’s Lisa’s turn to step up for Brick. They say you can’t pick your family, or can you? Edge of Tomorrow is the third book in Freya Barker’s standout Arrow’s Edge MC series and like the previous books, the writing is outstanding! The unique plot is beyond exciting with no shortage of mystery and intrigue! As the story unfolded, the more drawn in I became, until stopping was just out of the question and I had to keep going until I finished! The dialogue rang true, the characters were amazingly well developed and the narration was phenomenal! I don’t want to get into spoilers, so I’ll stop here and just say WOW five stars fabulous!

Everyone can find love

This series has kept me on toes this far! This one is no different! The relationship that Brick and Lisa build after fighting it for so long is fire! Lisa has been a great character since her grandson was saved in book 1. I love how they took Lisa and her kids under their wing.
The sadness that Brick has to go through in this story is heart breaking! Lisa has been through something similar and sticks by his side to help and guide him through it all. The mystery that Bricks daughter unravels is insane which brings trouble to their back door! This story has so much jaw dropping parts it was hard to put it down until the end! I HAD to know the outcome!

Truly enjoyable

This is the third book in the Arrow's Edge MC series. I truly enjoyed book 1 but book 2 wasn't quite as good. So I didn't know what to expect with this one. However Ms Barker returned to true enjoyment with this one. Lots of surprises in this book. Some heartbreak. But overall it was a sound story.

Brick and Lisa have been fighting their attraction for forever it seems. When he learns of his orphaned grandbaby, Lisa offers to help and eventually they finally give in to their attraction. The mystery surrounding Brick's daughter's death and who is after the baby, and in the process Lisa and er grandchildren, kept me listening and not wanting to pause the story. I needed to know what was going on and who the bad guys were.

Tor Thom is always a joy to listen to. He brings the characters to life. Simone Guyana is a new narrator for me. She has an enjoyable voice and portrayed Lisa beautifully.

Wonderful characters! Love that they are older!

One of the reasons I liked this is the characters are both over 40. How refreshing! They have age appropriate issues and looks. Both characters tried to be tough but they are softies inside. The protectiveness he had for her is legendary in the MC worlds but he pulled it off with flair. She has a feisty side that shows up every once in a while. She worries about others mostly and not herself. I enjoyed getting to know these two and the kids. What a wonderful MC they live and work at. This does have some suspense that weaves its way through the story.

I did listen to this on audio. Tor Thom and Simone Guyana did the narration. My biggest issue is Tor Thoms voice is so deep that I had to turn it up to hear him..then back down when the female came on. Kind of frustrating.

There IS love after 40!

One of the reasons that I enjoy books by this author is that she (1) tackles difficult topics, and (2) shows that romance can be alive after 40! This series is great and I have enjoyed seeing these tough MC men find their HEA. Lisa and her grandkids were saved from a supremacist group by the Arrow’s Edge and now she’s the chef/cook/caretaker for the MC. Everyone can see that Brick and Lisa have a thing for each other…except them. When Brick suddenly becomes guardian of his 4 mo grandson, Lisa steps in to help. The relationship grows…it’s beautiful to see the interaction with the grandkids. Some bad guys put a damper on the new family togetherness but the MC steps up. Another great tale in the series.
