Publisher's summary

Claire Stewart is back with brand new adventures in her little hometown of Fish Creek in Door County, Wisconsin.

As Claire continues to bloom as a quilt artist and painter, she finds herself disappointed with the prestigious quilt club she was privileged to join. She and her best friend Cher team up to confront the Town Board with one of Claire’s grand ideas, hoping to bring quilts to the forefront in Door County. Meanwhile, the man with the red scarf begins to play a stronger role in Claire's life as harassment continues from Austin, her former lover.

Moving Ahead

The characters are easy to recognize as people I've known in my own life story.

Great book.

Ann Hazelwood did it again. Great read. Can not wait to read the next installment in the series. The Tannenbaum Cristmas Quilt, now I can find out what happens in Claire’s relationship.

Disappointed

I love Wisconsin, Door County, Washington Island and I am a quilter but this book was a real disappointment. The music between chapters was very annoying and the chapters breaks we’re not even necessary. The narrator sounded like she was reading to a group of second graders. Not much of a story and you have to read the next book to tie up the many loose ends. I won’t bother.

Disappointing to say the least …

If you like to listen to someone rattle along about people and events that you do t know or care about, then read this extremely boring book.
Author does not take time to make characters knowable at all.
Sorry I purchased this boring diary.

so terrible.

I don't know what's worse, the plot or narration. or the chime between chapters.

I really, really wanted to like this story...

...but...
1. It was billed as a cozy mystery. it is not.
2. Several loose ends left hanging. if those are supposed to be covered in subsequent books in the series, there was no indication.
3. 120 chapters? The chapter breaks every three or four paragraphs were intrusive.
4. The first person viewpoint led to uniform short sentences and pedestrian language.
5. Awkward appeals to heaven every dozen or so chapters. Spoken by a character who regrets only allying herself with a psychologically abusive man and not an immoral lifestyle.
