Publisher's Summary

It’s been years since Abby O’Brien Winters set foot in Chesapeake Shores. The Maryland town her father built has too many sad memories, and Abby has too few spare moments - thanks to her demanding Wall Street career, the crumbling of her marriage, and her energetic daughters. Then one panicked phone call from her youngest sister brings her racing back home to protect Jess’ dream of renovating the charming Inn at Eagle Point. But saving the inn from foreclosure means dealing not only with her own fractured family but also with Trace Riley, the man Abby left 10 years ago. Trace can be a roadblock to her plans...or proof that second chances happen in the most unexpected ways.

If you’re looking for a great summer read this is your book

This is a great summer beach read. Where the story took place is excellent. The author did a great thing with all of the characters. I highly recommend

GREAT BEACH READ!

I loved this book. Characters were realistic and well portrayed by narrator. Story was interesting and unfolded nicely. Ending made Mr feel good. Book was a nice escape ... glad to have found a new author I can enjoy. Will look for more books by Sherryl Woods and hope to find more narrated by Erin Bennett.

Story was good. Narrative..meh

I enjoyed following the family dynamics and I will definitely read the next book in the series. However, the narration was poor because there was no range. All the female voices were the same and all the male voices were the same. Sometimes I had to rewind to know who was speaking.

Terrible love story

The storyline around the family dynamics, the inn, and the custody issues were great but the “love story” between Abby and trace was just dumb. Traces character was manipulating and obnoxious. Abby was initially written as an independent woman she turned into a woman that constantly had to rely on a man even though she didn’t need the help. She kept turning to trace to save her. It was infuriating. A stupid and unnecessary love story.

Great story

Really enjoyable story! It was just the right amount of adversity to overcome, lovely to listen to at bedtime. Can’t wait to read the rest. Readers voice was also nice and not annoying like some
