very very spicy

if I thought book one was amazing book two delivered big time and it was spicy and hot. can't wait to read book three and four I'm in love with this series so far definitely would recommend

great book

overall the book itself is pretty good, but there's something about the female narrators voice that just was not it for me. it almost seems too business like and it was just lacking in that area for me.

This book is fantastic! I didn’t listen to book 1 and I don’t feel like I missed anything so you can think of it as a stand alone. I would consider this mafia-lite as I didn’t feel like this was especially dark. I just loved it all around. The narrators are awesome too!

Prepare for the fireworks

Grayson and Maddie are both very strong characters. I loved getting to see another side to them in their story as they were very interesting in Distance. Getting to see Grayson realize his feelings and Maddie come to terms with a different view on life made for such a great story. Getting to see past Maddie's hunt for the right man and her getting the love she deserves was so beautiful. I think my favorite part is the ex showing up, when you get there you will know it❤️😉 I can not wait to see what happens next in Devoted with Luca as the main man. He is such a tightly controlled character that I can not wait to see what goes on behind the scenes in his head. If you get the chance to listen to Detonate it is such an amazing audiobook. Maxine Mitchell and Robert Hatchet did a fabulous job giving voice to this amazing story. This series has some absolutely amazing narrator's you are missing out by not listening to these books❤️ Hearing Grayson say Good Girl is absolute perfection ❤️❤️

Narrators make it good’

The audiobook made this book enjoyable. Both were nuanced and engaging in sometimes sophomoric writing. This book has more of the “mafia” aspect than the first, and that was a VAST improvement. Maxine Mitchell is the best female narrator out there (IMHO) and Robert Hatchet, new to me, has catapulted onto my favorite list!

Even better than the first book...

Loved this story. This one was even better than the first! The FMC is so enjoyable and I found myself laughing often with her comments and actions. The MMC is yummy with his typical alpha behavior. He is not a "good" guy but you can't help but love him and route for him.
Narration was on point and the steam was S-T-E-A-M-Y!!! Enjoy and don't even think about the credit spent. You won't care!

Morally Grey MMC

This book was an enemies-to-lovers romance with the mafia and sports. The FMC, Maddie, was more likable with each chapter, but I was all for Grayson’s morally grey character.

I was sooo excited for Grayson’s story and it was great! I absolutely loved this story and the way the narrators told this beautiful story!!!

📖 This was my first Luna Mason book, and I was definitely able to start on book 2 but I’m itching to go back and hit up book 1 now. Grayson is such a great MMC — he’s tough, but a bit broken, and has sworn off love and really anything more than a one night stand after a brutal betrayal. Then Maddie enters the chat and changes everything for him. He goes from wild tiger to purring house cat, but don’t worry, he’s still FERAL for her 🥵
The plot in this one was action packed and really enjoyable! I’m looking forward to Luca’s story in book 3.

🎧 Maxine and Robert did an excellent job with the narration in this one. I would describe Maxine’s voice as medium to deep in pitch (for a female) with a smooth timbre. She paces the dialogue really well with natural pauses and makes clear transitions from narrator voice to speaking voice. Her emotional expression and male speaking voice was on point too.
I would describe Robert’s voice as medium to deep in pitch (for a male) with a rich, smooth timbre. He has a very natural sounding cadence and modulates his voice to clearly indicate narrator voice vs MMC speaking voice vs other speaking voices. All around fantastic narration!

Oh, how I've waited for this one. I finished reading the ebook ages ago.
But the wait was so worth it. The audio narration by Maxine Mitchell and Robert Hatchet kicks up the heat, tempo, and overall brilliant storyline. Making it one of my all times must-have audiobooks.
All I can say is give me more~!!!!!!!
