SO GOOD, SO SPICY!

Ria Wilde did it AGAIN! LOVED IT!! The story was dark and difficult to listen to at times (triggers for human trafficking) and the twist at the end brought me to tears!! The story kept me on edge, there were times when I wanted to scream at the FMC (Eleanor) because of her naivety, but that was a huge part of her character. Zara Hampton Brown did and excellent job playing Eleanor - she is a fabulous narrator.
JAMES JOSEPH as Kingston… was PURE PERFECTION! 🥵James Joseph is one of my favorite male narrators, but he leads the pack when it comes to erotic and spice! And this book had some REALLY DELICIOUS spice! EVERYTHING he narrates is perfection! If you like dark, spice, mafia(ish) vibes and British accents - THIS IS YOUR BOOK!

Incredibly Spicy!

Everything sounds better in a British accent! I’ve listened to other stories from this author, but I’ve never enjoyed the narrator’s voicing the opposite sex characters. It always made the story sound cheesy and took me out of it. That why this duel narration style is really becoming the only way I want to listen to a story like this. I loved it! Two great narrators who are both new to me, but I will file their names (and voices away) for further listening. Very hot.

Quick dark steamy read

Ria Wilde has a way of telling stories that pull you in. I love how she builds her world and characters and gives us all of that before diving into the action. I loved Kingston in Twisted City and was so happy to see this one land in my inbox. Kingston and Eleanor are beautifully written. I loved the tension building in their relationship. The steamy scenes were filled with chemistry and heat. I love how Ria writes the endings of her books. You get to that point where things start to happen, and the way she writes them makes you want to keep going and this book was no different. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen to Kingston.

The audiobook was great. I’m a huge fan of duet narrated books and this one hit the spot in that aspect. Zara Hampton-Brown is starting to become a favorite of mine. I adore her accent and loved the emotion she put into Elanor’s character. Before this book I had never heard of James Joseph and he truly was Kingston. He embraced the role and I don’t think there could have been anyone else for the part. His voice was soothing and so easy to listen to.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. Ria Wilde’s Twisted City Duet was the first dark mafia romance I had ever read, and I devoured it just as fast as I devoured this one. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this world.

The book has good bones!

The bones of this book are good but the female lead is so whiny I would literally cringe listening to her.

Intense and Incredible Story with Superb Narration!

I have been waiting for this audiobook since I listened to the Twisted City duet by Ria Wilde and was first introduced to the characters of Kingston and his sister Isobel. To say I was intrigued by these characters would have been quite the understatement, and this audiobook was everything I hoped for and more!

Kingston is not a character you immediately fall in love with. He is not easy to love, nor is he quick to love others. He is complicated and problematic, but as his true personality and core nature is revealed throughout the book, you kind of can’t help but love the sexy, complex man. He is at heart a protector. You have to earn your way into the circle of those he cares for, but once there, he would kill or die for you. And if he truly loves you, he will burn the world for you.

His one mission in life is to avenge the kidnapping, violation, and years-long torture of his sister by the Syndicate, a worldwide criminal organization. He meets Eleanor in the office of one of the leaders of the Syndicate who’s masquerading as a law-abiding citizen, hiding in plain sight. She is the man’s personal assistant, and Kingston is immediately attracted and intrigued by her. He doesn’t understand it and has no time for it, until he realizes she might be just the spy he needs to take down the Syndicate once and for all. He coerces and seduces her under the guise of revenge, but winds up falling in love for real. Together they work to bring the leaders of the Syndicate to justice, but will the cost of retribution be too high?

James Joseph and Zara Hampton Brown flawlessly narrate this incredible story. They absolutely knock it out of the park with their performances, which are recorded in duet style (my favorite narration style). The intensity and raw emotion in their shared performance was exactly what this intriguing and captivating story requires, and they delivered it in spades. I was completely engrossed in their narration from start to finish and hated to see it end. If you enjoy dark or mafia-style romance audiobooks, you absolutely do not want to miss this one!

We meet Kingston in the Twisted Duet. King and his sister Isobel are sociopaths due to devastating reasons. The overall plot is a continuation from the Twisted Duet, highly suggest you read those first. In this book you meet Eleanor who catches the tension of King. They’re were having to work together to take down a secret organization. I’m excited to read Isobel‘s book which comes out in June.

Love it!!!

I was quite skeptical at first, and it took me a moment to get into the FMC... BUT, I am so happy I did!!! Of course, James is ALWAYS PERFECT!!! He is One of my faves. All he has to do is talk!🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵

This was everything I hoped it would be and more! I am SO in love with Kingston and Eleanor was a delight 🖤 THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK, Y'ALL 😱🥵 holy crap! I also never expected this book to make me cry, but it did... AT WORK 😭 I was a full on mess 💔 love, love, love this story! I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the audiobook for Savage Heart to be released 🙏

it could have been perfect 😭

I feel like I was cheated there at the end. why did that have to happen to ace omg!!! I hate this. Also the ending felt rushed too and I wish I had an epilogue 💔 other than that, I loved it! The duet narration was actual perfection. Story: 4/5 spice🌶️:4/5 narration:10/5!!!!

Wicked Heart

I have thoroughly enjoyed Ria Wilde’s 🎧books on Audible especially No Saint & All The Broken Pieces those books had amazing narrators which is a must when listening to your book! I couldn’t wait for 8/30, early this AM I bought it and started my 🎧book journey…I really wanted to love it just like all the others but I just liked it.😑 To say I was so disappointed is an understatement, I wanted to be consumed in the passion, desire, lust and eventually love between the main characters and the narration never sold it to me. I understand the book storyline was based in the UK so it’s understandable for the British accents but the lack of chemistry was so clear that it just didn’t do it for me. Is it worth the credit? For me it’s probably a maybe🤔 but realistically it’s a NO, sorry Ria but it just didn’t click for me.
