Publisher's Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Shanora Williams comes a forbidden romance about a college woman who helplessly falls for her best friend's father.

Dear Mr. Black,

I know you were hurting. I heard your cries for help. I wished over and over again that I could make it better, but as you stated, I was too inexperienced; too good for someone as bad as you. Perhaps you were right, but it didn't matter because what I did know was that I loved the way you felt - loved the way you smelled. I loved how hard you got for me, and when you called me your Little Knight. I had been madly in love with you ever since I was 12 years old, but I shouldn't have been. My best friend - your daughter - Isabelle would have hated it. I couldn't afford to lose her. Besides, you two had already lost enough. Losing Mrs. Black was the epitome. It's me, Chloe Knight. I wanted to be there for you no matter what, but Isabelle needed me, too, and she would have hated me if she ever found out I was sleeping with her father.

Dear Mr. Black was formerly titled the number one best seller, Tainted Black.

I COULD HAVE REALLY ENJOYED BUT...

I typically like Honey and Cary but for this book not so much.. either the editing was really bad or they were dragging out there words and it annnoyed me. Could have been great but just ok

Don't waste your credit or your money

Struggle to finish. By the way I only made it halfway through. I found this difficult, not so much because of the subject matter. ( although that was challenging just because here he is a forty-year-old man who allegedly was going to show her ... the 20 year-old how a real man takes care of a woman and the two times that he has a sexual encounter with her he doesn't even attempt to make her first time enjoyable or comfortable. it's an immediate "insert here" experience. ) An older man watching a twelve-year-old girl grow into Womanhood. This was not Lolita by any means. That being said the female narrator "Honey Jones" was terrible I felt like she was reading the label on a can of soup. If I could this would get Negative Stars in all categories.

It gets better every time I listen to it.

I started listening to the audiobook but it became cringe worthy at times. Someone previously mentioned that the female narrator sounded like she was reading off of a soup can, I must agree. She has a nice voice but read very slow and her voices for other characters was hard to listen to. The male narrator also had a nice voice, he was much easier to listen to. I had to stop listening and read both books in the duet. After reading it, I listened to it. This made the female narrator more acceptable.

The story itself was good. I liked the ending, though a little hard to swallow, it was fitting.

Chloe the heroine I enjoyed because she was strong. Some may not agree because she was also soft. She was strong when she felt it is the right thing to do.

Theo I also enjoyed but he seemed more of a beta hero than an alpha. Some of his actions I felt a true alpha would have done much different.

Izzy, I don't know what to say other than she was self centered, annoying, and she never put others first. If her presence in the story line wasn't essential I could do without her boring childish behavior.

There other characters in the book I will sum up. We have a creep, a pseudo stalker ish, at least three characters are so selfish and pointless.

Chloe and Theo are prime example in age not mattering. I believed their story, despite being aggravated and not Manning up.

Loved it!!!

This book was worth it to me. To each his own. I love it!! After you get into it and get the gist of the storyline you will undoubtedly fall in love with the story. There are no words to explain the chemistry between Theo and Chloe. Honestly I’d LOVE to see this book as a motion picture. Well done Ms Williams and a job well done to the narrators Honey and Cary.
