Publisher's summary

If one George Carlin audio is funny, then two are funnier and three must be funniest, right? That's our thinking behind this new collection. It's a HighBridge library of laugh-out-loud, award-winning recordings featuring George himself performing many of his best bits. The set includes:

Brain Droppings
Acerbic observations, manic musings, in-your-face questions, witty word play, and more "droppings" from Carlin's singular brain. "I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed." "Why are there no recreational drugs taken in suppository form?" The first Carlin book on audio and a 2001 Grammy winner.

Napalm & Silly Putty
Carlin invents Past-Tense TV (Got Smart, Father Knew Best, It Was Left to Beaver); crusades for the Center for Research into the Heebie Jeebies; founds the George Carlin Book Club (recommended reading: Fill Your Life with Croutons); and suggests that "If the shoe fits, get another just like it." A 2002 Grammy winner.

More Napalm & Silly Putty
Everything that wouldn't fit on the first Napalm recording - like "A Day in the Life of Henry VIII", "Sports Should Be Fixed", compelling confessions ("I couldn't commit suicide if my life depended on it"), and candid takes on life's little moments ("I'm beyond the nice day"), all delivered with wicked glee.

Would you try another book from George Carlin and/or George Carlin?

as above

Excellent

All Carlin fans should own this. It is not stand up routines and has unneeded music. But still classic carlin.

the prophesier

they've rolled back the 90s, filled us with soft language, and kept us all just dumb enough. but damn I'm tired about reading about clouds in a story.

A slowed-down lengthier version of stand-up

if you're familiar with George's work then you probably already heard most of this. it's kind of cool to hear him read it not on stage though.

Hilarious

Never disappoints - is raw and honest and says what we are all thinking -wish more comedians today were like him

Carlin Was The King!

I'm not sure I can recommend this audiobook for anyone driving a car - I had to stop listening because I was laughing so hard I couldn't really maintain proper control of myself and the car. This is more of a listen on the airplane, or on a train, or even at home.
I miss George Carlin, who, along with the late great Richard Pryor, was the soul and conscience of my generation. He never fails to move me in so many ways by holding up a fun-mirror to the human condition. I am thankful for this audiobook and everything else he ever recorded.
