Publisher's Summary

Years ago, they were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar, and he was the devilishly handsome security professional hired to keep her safe. They fell hard and fast, no matter how they tried to resist one another. But not everyone around them was happy about their relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what they once had.

Having just taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, Kynan McGrath is looking to rebrand and revamp his career. The newly crowned Jameson Force Security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing Kynan has time for is to deal with his past.

More than a decade has passed since their split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to him for help, Kynan reluctantly agrees to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.

As the danger they face continues to intensify, Kynan realizes he’ll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on him all those years ago. Because one thing is certain - no matter how hard he tries to convince himself otherwise, Joslyn still has his heart.

Kynan, Kynan, Kynan!

Kynan McGrath is all things alpha, sexy, smart, and a security genius. Taking over Jameson Force Security has kept him busy and he’s managed to steer clear of his past. A past that haunts him with what ifs and questions of simply what happened. He’s somewhat content with his life right now. He has the perfect balance between his job and his play time. Playing at the Wicked Horse has satisfied his need for mindless, uncommitted escapades that have spilled over into his life and he seems to love the no strings attached lifestyle… that is until she comes back.
Joslyn Meyers needs help and she is desperate. She knows without a doubt that Kynan is the only one that can provide the protection that she needs. She has a stalker and she can’t shake him. This job requires a special type of security, one she can trust. Although the past is bound to resurface, she would rather deal with it, than succumb to the evil that is haunting her.
The Good: I’m always looking forward to the next read from Sawyer and as usual she did not disappoint with Kynan’s story. It was all around good.
The Bad: Kynan was such a jerk in the beginning. I was so ready to punch him!
The Ugly: Being scared for your life is never a good thing. For someone to think they have a right to ruin your life for their pleasure is sick!
I absolutely loved this story! Kynan was such a dirty talking beast that I had to watch my facial expressions while listening. This read is hot, suspenseful, and drama at its best! Kynan and Joslyn are made for each other. They are magic and untapped energy ready to explode. I could feel his struggle with falling again, but he didn’t have to treat her so bad in the beginning. That was cringe worthy, but necessary to bring life to his emotions. I loved when Joslyn fought back and put him in his place. He wanted so bad to punish her with his lust. He wanted to consume her and his ache for her was tangible. I am just awestruck that Sawyer continues to bring tales that are so complete and don’t leave you questioning anything. I’ve never listened to any of her books and felt empty. I’ve been left wanting, but never unsatisfied. Shane and Imogen were believable as these characters and they did not skimp on the emotional aspect, the longing, and the desperation of Kynan and Joslyn. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. I know without a doubt that it will be a solid 5 Star Read as this one is.

JUST MEH! DIDN'T LIKE THIS COUPLE.

This always frustrate the heck out of me...

If you are supposed to be badass enough to belong to the equivalent of military special forces, you are supposed to be "good" at it. Then why oh why do characters that are supposed to have special skills are written as inept fools?

The main characters handling of bad situations is just not acceptable. The hero acts like a peacock showing off, while failing at what he is "peacocking" about. If you are supposed to be "the best" a character should be written as "the best!" And our heroine, who is supposed to have hired "the best" to do a job, doesn't give him the chance to do the job.

These two people were written as dimwitted fools.

Shane East is always a pleasure to listen to.

This story was not for me.

Great start to another awesome series

This was an awesome book and I really enjoyed it! I’ve been looking forward to Kynan’s story since he was introduced in the Wicked Horse Vegas series. I was kind of disappointed in the fact that he seemed like a totally different person in this book compared to how he was portrayed in the other series. That fact aside, this book ticked all the boxes for me to love the book!

Great Twists and Turns!

Very engaging story, I really liked the characters except for the bdsm stuff, not for me and it was unnecessary to the story. The plot was excellent, I enjoy books that are more than romance.

The narrators are why I purchased, especially Imogen Church. Imagine my surprise when she used an American accent. Still loved it.

Nice job, waiting for the next book in the series.

Really good listen!

My first time with this author and I loved it. The book itself could have been a bit shorter but overall it was a good listen. The narrators did an okay job, the english accent that they tried to portray was horrible and need lots of work. Can't wait for book 2.

Spine tingling

The narration from Shane East and Imogen Chirch was spot on and really brought this story to life for me. In all honesty, I could listen to Shane East all day long.

I have been intrigued by Kynan since he was first mentioned in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and was excited to read the beginning of his and Joslyn’s story in Wicked Force.

Code Name: Genesis picks up many years after Kynan McGrath and Joslyn Meyers first met and fell in love. However outside forces managed to keep them apart and thanks to lies and treachery they parted ways.

When fate brings them back into one another lives, will the connection and love they once shared still be felt? Kynan cannot help himself when Joslyn comes to him afraid for her safety and he is drawn back in as though the 10 years have never been.

As the danger continues to escalate, can Kynan find out who is behind it and in turn save the women he still loves or will all be lost?

This book was well written, exciting to read, emotional and at times intense as Kynan and Joslyn struggle not only with their past but with the danger that has become apart of their lives.

I really loved these characters and was captivated as Sawyer Bennett wove her story; in fact I was glued to the book from start to finish and I didn’t want it to end.

Terrible performance

Imogene sounds like she’s high. I couldn’t get past the 2nd chapter! It so hard to enjoy it.
