Re demp tion: the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil

Trevor Moana can’t escape the sins of his past. His kills as a CIA assassin haunt his dreams.

Working for Second Sight helps him atone, sometimes even forget. Until Dani Monroe walks through his door.

The one person he’s hurt the most needs his help.

In Caracas, Venezuela, one shot changed four lives. And going back there could end him.

Dani hates needing Trevor’s help. After what he did to her family? She’d just as soon never see him again.

But when she finds the story of a lifetime — and much needed answers about where she came from — all in the most dangerous country in the world, she doesn’t have a choice.

Will Dani and Trevor survive a return to Venezuela?

Or will explosive secrets and their growing fiery passions combust and destroy everything they both hold dear?

Each book in this high-action and emotional romantic suspense series can be listened to as a standalone.

Fantastic!

This is another amazing book in the series! The characters are complex, witty, intense, funny, stubborn, and beautifully broken. I was laughing out loud and talking back to the characters. Highly recommend reading/listening to the whole series! They can be stand alones but I highly recommend going in order as previous characters show up in new books and it’s better when you know who they are and how they have changed/grown.

Definitely worth a listen

I first read this book as an ARC. But I failed miserably at writing the review of the audio book. This is the next book, Number Seven, in the Away From The Keyboard series by Ms. Eddy. The main characters in this book, with the exception of the heroine, have been introduced (some only briefly, ie JSOC Pritchard) in previous books.

The book has a very nicely plotted story, populated by characters you can't help but like. My favorite from a previous book, Ryker is there, joined by Ford, Wren, Cam, Graham, Ronan, and lest we not overlook Dax, of the "though the intelligence of having a blind man orchestrate your infil is definitely questionable" fame (that isn't the first time I snickered during this book). You're going to like these characters, you will want to take them home to meet your ... scratch that, not until you clean them up a bit. But you WILL want to take them home. And you'll also want to read about them again and again. Just remember as you listen that the devil is in the details. And Ms Eddy knows her details.

The story is set in DC, Boston, and Caracas, Venezuela where our heroes have to go to get Trevor out of a jam. And that is absolutely all I'm going to say about the story except one thing - this book is fiction. That means the author has the right, and some would say the responsibility, to put her characters into situations that make their personalities shine through. In fact, without some artistic license, no fiction book on earth would be worth reading. If I wanted to read about Caracas, Venezuela, I'd go buy a travel guide. If I want to share adventure with some incredibly endearing characters, I'd pick up a Patricia D Eddy book. If you don't like situations that might never happen in real life, if you don't like it when a character is "bigger than life", and if you don't like it when you can't imagine something like that happening in the real world, you might want to read non-fiction, because this particular author is very good at placing her characters in situations that bring out the best in them.

I enjoyed the narrators on this book. I usually have a problem with dual narration but with this recording, I had absolutely no problem. I enjoyed every word. While you are listening you'll find that the comedy in this book is well-carried by the narrators. Overall, I liked this audiobook a lot, and I liked it just as much as I did the eBook version.

Loved hearing this suspenseful story come to life.

Though I've devoured all of the Away From Keyboard series, multiple times, this is the first of Patricia D. Eddy's audiobooks I've listened to. I'm an odd one with audiobooks - I can only enjoy listening to ones I've read before. And boy, was it a pleasure listening to this one.

Aiden Snow, the voice of Trevor in this story, is a narrating wizard. No word of a lie. I would be perfectly content to listen to this man read the phone book for hours on end. In learning that he has voiced almost all of the other AFK books, I'm eager to revisit those as well.

And Grace Grant truly brings to life one of my favorite female characters that Eddy has written, as she fully embodies Dani's spirit in every word. Dani is fierce, confident, stubborn and perhaps a little willfully ignorant of danger. While I'm obviously not hopping planes to foreign countries for front pages, I found her resilience so relatable. When Trevor tells her "You're always okay, " and her response (not necessarily verbatim) was quite simply "You need me to be okay, so I am, " it spoke volumes to me personally.

Full of suspense, second chances, romance and sizzle, I had no trouble losing myself in this story, and am eager to listen to the rest of these stories come to life.

Trevor & Dani

Away From the Keyboard series never has a dull moment. Patricia D. Eddy has such a creative mind and I couldn’t wait to listen to Call Sign: Redemption. This story packs a punch and has a romance to win your heart. Trevor and Dani’s story resonates a true love that cannot be forgotten. Since they were kids, they had feelings for each other, but circumstances have pulled them apart. Now when Dani, a journalist, is set to write story taking her to Venezuela where she needs protection, and Second Sight is hired to help her. This story had my heart racing. The story Dani is going after is dangerous, and has so many life effecting facets, I wasn’t sure how it was all going to play out. Eddy had me on the edge of my seat in suspense, my hope rising that these two could find their way back to each other and they would make it home. Then she brings in all of my favorite characters of the series, and I was thrilled. It’s fast paced, romantic and a fantastic story.

Narrated by Aiden Snow and Grace Grant, we get all the feels. I love these two, and I love that they continue the series together. It’s consistent voicing throughout all the books, and they understand the characters. That is key to giving us a realistic listen and they just get it. Love them together!

AMAZING Series!

This is the seventh book in the Away From Keyboard Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense. You can read this story as a standalone, but believe me, you don't want to miss one book in this Series. Trevor and Dani's second chance at love story is suspenseful and action packed. Trevor is a strong and handsome man, protective and supportive. Dani is a strong woman, courageous, and beautiful. The scenes in the Crypt are suspenseful and breathtaking! I loved to see all the members of this amazing 'family' working together. Aiden Snow, Grace Grant did an outstanding job with the narration. I love their voices together. This is a great team author/narrators! I can't wait for the next book in the Series! I need more! I enjoyed it and I HIGHLY recommend this story and this Series.

Exciting, Gritty, Sexy!

Patricia Eddy is a genius at creating relatable characters. Even though they are bad-ass special forces guys they have REAL problems, real pasts, and are not perfect. Her books recognize that we are all flawed and works in progress, and I absolutely adore that about her writing. This book was a action packed! Who doesn't love a good second-chance romance! Narration was excellent. I would recommend this book!
