Story
His touch can heal or harm. His fate is solitary. His agony belongs to us all…He was born on a day of pain: November 22, 1963. He came of age in agony: that moment of tragedy when fun-loving rock-and-roll deejay Paul Handler discovered the inexplicable power in his own hands. It is the power to make the wounded whole again. The power to make the lame walk and to heal the sick. It is a power that will sap his soul and plunge him into the world of a famous faith healer. It is a power that can turn to rage, even murder. It is a gift that makes Paul Handler a living, breathing human sacrifice. For thousands of years, a secret cabal has guarded the lineage to which Paul is heir — scapegoats who have been forced to bear humanity's anguish upon themselves. Now, while the cabal searches for him, and one man seeks to destroy him, Paul makes a lonely, frightening journey to the core of his identity and to his destiny … to all the pain his soul can bear, to all the redemption he can give, to the freedom that is death.

Prompted by these strange occurrences, Marty Raft, a not-so-gentle giant, investigates and discovers underground clubs peddling music that induces an out-of-body experience. The best part about a book, is that moment you can put it down, and say at least that can't happen in real life, until now. The Uninvited will leave you checking your doors, locking your windows and skipping the weekend camping trip. Meet the stranger, a killer who is unbiased about who it chooses to be the victim, and never tires of the killing. If Dexter and Leatherface had a baby, The Uninvited would be their offspring.

Great short horror story
I quite enjoyed this short story. I liked how it was told as a story from am older man about an event in his childhood, and what a twisted story it is. For such a simple plot it was a great story that kept my interest throughout as I was curious where it was headed. Salman did a great job with the narration. I loved the character voices and felt he really breathed life into the story. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher

Chilling tale of the depravity of man’s mind
This is a tale told by an old man of what occurred in his childhood and led him to this point. The horrible things he witnessed take place in the cabin and how it changed his life. Man truly is the monster. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Loved it
I don’t usually like short single stories I usually prefer really long stories I can dissolve into for at least day or two or longer. But this is the first really short story I really enjoyed because most I feel try to rush the ending to quickly. But if you love horror stories and short stories I really recommend this one. Narrator was on point and even tho I would have really liked a more in-depth longer version of it, it really is interesting tale and didn’t feel rushed at all. I was given this audio in exchange for honest, fair and voluntary review.

OMG!
It's ten minutes until 4:am. Don't finish this book at 4:50 a.m., because your neighbors might not be as understanding as mine... then again... I wonder if they did believe me. I wouldn't ask too many questions of a girl who just woke me up with a shreek. Maybe not THAT dramatic, but I DID cry out and scare the dog. That's not nothing!! So good! Buy this! It's short, a bedtime story. You won't be disappointed, I promise. I've listened to this narrator alot. He's read me plenty of bedtime stories. Very soothing voice.

I enjoyed this unique story prospective more than I thought. It's about a boy who has to live with what he saw in the woods and what he will ultimately do about it and can he live with the consequences. I actually kinda loved it and was very satisfied with the way it played out. Give it a shot.

Short Horror Story
I was pleasantly surprised after listening. At one point I though ‘omg pls don’t go overboard on sadistic detail’, but it didn’t and I was relived for that. The author has written a horrifying short story without going way over the top like so many authors can do. The twist did dawn on me before it was revelled but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story. Well written and a change from listening to a 7 hour + story like I usually do.
