Complicated Love Story

Complicated may be an understatement when it come to this book. If you enjoy true crime shows, this book will be right up your alley! Get ready to settle in with this emotional, action packed story with a glass of wine, a pen, and a notebook. You're going to want that notebook to keep track of all the clues and connections. There are quit a few complicated story lines between the characters that you will want to write down to remember. I personally do not tend to gravitate towards books like this but decided to stray from my usual. I don't think I will return to a thriller like this again because it just wasn't my thing. The story was good and the ending surprised me.

The audio narration was good. Charley Ongel did a really good job giving voice to all the different characters.

twisted web!

I loved all of the twists this book had, and some of them I never saw coming. I loved how Jen and Dave finally saw each other for the person they really were. Without giving away spoilers, I can only imagine the guilt feelings that racked Dave for his kidnapped daughter Abby that he endured for years. This story had so many facets to its intricately woven events and characters. I loved how Charley Ongel was able to perform so many different voices and put the right emotions in the book. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I cannot wait to listen to the next book in this series. I love romantic suspense and this book fit that to a T along with some interesting tech stuff. It is a standalone listen.

Intriguing, Intense, Action Packed!!

WOW!! Broken Build is a Crime Fiction/Romantic Suspense that has it all and will pull you in right from the start!!

Jen Jones is strong, beautiful and a genious software programmer working as a code writer at Silicon Valley, but with a gang of thugs trying to hunt her and her boss down. CEO Dave Jewell is teaming up with her and giving her his protection and help, not realizing she's someone from his past he freaking dispase!!

The chemistry and connection between them keeps growing, and their journey becomes a wild ride, mentally, physically and emotionally. The story is full of twists and turns. Just unpredictable!!

I'm not giving you more details, since they're plenty in other reviews, and the least I want, is spoil it for you even more. This is a story worth listening to, my only complaint, I wish this had been a dual narration. However, Charley Ongel's performance was just brilliant!!

This is part of a series but can be read/listen as standalone, and at the time me posting this review, the Kindle editon was FREE on Amazon!

Well Written

There was a lot of action and suspense in this storyline and it was certainly well written. It was a long book and took me awhile to get through it and I had to keep putting it down as I found myself losing interest. I found some of the book a bit confusing and I must confess that I just couldn’t bring myself to like either of the main characters, Jen or Dave, at all. There were a lot of characters to sift through and some technical jargon in the storyline. It may be that it just wasn’t my type of story and for those that enjoy some technology in the storyline this would be more up their alley. I am still a fan of Rachelle Ayala’s work, however this story just wasn’t one of my favourites. Charley Ongel did a nice job with the narration. I received a free copy and am providing an unbiased review.

Wow an amazing suspense!

Jen Jones is a programer that has a secret, other than the secret that she is in love with her boss David Jewell. Wen murder and mayhem nearly cost her her job and land her in jail who will rescue her?
David Jewell is working on a big build that will net him enough money to look for his missing daughter that he thinks his deceased wife's parents have in the Phillipines. When the build keeps breaking and there is a murder on his lot and many more things keep happening will he be able to accomplish this task?
Broken build is a very different story than I am used to from Rachelle Ayala. I have to say I loved this side of her. I am a big fan of mystery/ suspense with a dash of romance. Throw in lots of twists and turns and you have me hooked.
I liked all of the characters, The storyline and the love hate aspect of the romance.
There are twists and turns everywhere and I never dreamed of how it would end.
(Warning: There is some violence.)
Charlie Ongel is one of my favorite female narrators. She does a great job of giving a voice to each character, even the men and adds excitement and drama to the already good book making it even greater.
So, if you like, drama, mystery, suspense, chaos, dont mind some violence, love twists and turns, interoffice romance, love/hate relationships, this is for you!

Intrigue in Silicon Valley

Jen Jones has a secret that could effect the job she just got with her new degree and thinner body, but she isn’t the only one with a secret unbeknownst to her. This secret involves the one person who can never find out her boss.
Secrets, lies, deceit, intrigue, angst, twists where you think you have it figured out and there’s a new turn. In the end however there is forgiveness, a new beginning a new family and love.
Thank you Charley Ongel for gifting me this audible book for a fair and honest review.

Cyber blackmail, kidnapping, murders!

This book is full of so much drama and intrigue that my head is spinning. Jen Jones has secrets...lots of secrets...and she is being blackmailed for some of them...and is the primary suspect in a murder. Dave Jewel is recovering from the death of his wife and kidnapping of his baby daughter 6yrs ago. He needs funding for his online company and for the sales program to work for Black Friday. A series of events lead him to interact w his build engineer, Jen. There are LOTS of secrets between these two, and chemistry, but they don’t trust each other. Will they be able to figure out who is behind the attacks on the company? Will they discover if Dave’s daughter is still alive? The book is a bit lengthy but worth it. Great HEA and narration.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Murder, Mayhem, Technology, Suspense and Romance

There is a lot going on in this book. Clearly the author, Rachelle Ayala, doesnt believe in slowly building the plot. The story accelerates almost from the beginning, though the first chapter does feel a little confusing. As the various pieces slot into place, the numerous story threads weave into a complex tapestry that included murder, mayhem, technology, family drama, romance and heaps of suspense.

Rachelle Ayala's characters are never one dimensional. She gives each a back story as well as real issues and challenges that make them stronger yet more vulnerable and easier to relate to. It is easy to tell that she does considerable research to put together a piece of romantic fiction steeped in supportive facts, whether it is information about fostering, technical jargon or the type of cuisine the characters are eating.

I enjoyed the fast, complex nature of this story and look forward to more books in the series.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Love a good techno thriller romance!

Until the very end, I was unsure of how this book was going to turn out. Rachelle Ayala's Broken Build, the first book in the Chance for Love series, is full of romance and suspense, so many twists and turns and unanswered questions, it easily keeps your attention. Dave Jewel is launching a new shopping app for Black Friday release, and his top build designer, Jen Jones. Dave is a young widow, his infant daughter kidnapped and is set that he will never love another like he did his wife. Jen on the other hand is full of secrets, but is in love with Dave. This unlikely couple has a lot of love-hate that keeps their relationship intriguing while the two try and solve the many mysteries that are currently surrounding them. There are so many characters and plot twists, it is important to pay attention to the story. The way it all ties out will leave you surprised and satisfied with the Dave and Jen and their happily ever after.

Charley Ongel is a wonderful fit for the narration of this book. With the amount of intrigue and emotion that Ayala writes into the story, the narrator needed to be one that could handle the many changes and different characters. Ongel is able to to this with easily distinguishable characters, and the right amount of emotion and energy for this fast paced romantic suspense.
