James Herriot's fifth volume of memoirs relocates him to a training camp somewhere in England. And in between square pounding and digging for victory, he dreams of the people and livestock he left behind him.
Funny, warm and very well read. An easy and nostalgic listen. Timeless and always enjoyable.
I love James Herriot books- gentle, kind, lovely stories about the Yorkshire Dales and the animals (and owners) he cares for. If you like animals this book is for you.
Love all these books could listen again again and again , take you away , escape , excellent always makes my non book reading husband laugh
These wonderful books remain as brilliant as ever. Beautifully read by Christopher TImothy. Just wish they were longer.
