Love Anna Faris!!

This book is quirky, personal, and like an extended one on one version of her podcast. My only disappointment was that Chris Pratt did not read the foreword he wrote himself. Overall a very entertaining and personal read from a lovely, compassionate person.

Not What I Thought it Would Be

I have been a fan of Anna Faris for a long time. I believe her to be one of the top comedic actresses of the last 25 years. I purchased this book mistakenly thinking it was an autobiography. It is not.

This book is her take on all things love. I wanted to hear about making Scary Movie and Just Friends, and what it took to produce a movie like The House Bunny. Instead, I got her opinions to hypothetical dating scenarios. My advice is to listen to her podcast. It is the exact same thing and it is free.

Anna is funny!

Great book to listen too. Did not want her unqualified wisdom to end. I could relate being a woman in my early forty’s, found it very entertaining.

it’s like catching up with an old friend

i finished this book in less than 48 hours and without any obligation to do so. that’s saying a lot for a working girl who has a 9 to 5 job and a very packed social life. navigating through this book felt like how it feels to spend a lazy afternoon catching up with an old friend—who you were besties with in high school but only get together with every few years due to your demanding schedules, and who you’re super happy for after she’s shot into super stardom but still hasn’t forgotten her roots—after sobering up from a boozy brunch. the way anna narrates her journey draws you in and makes you feel what she’s feeling, propelling you on a raw, funny, emotional, and genuinely entertaining roller coaster of pure realness. also, this is the first time i’ve ever rated a book (really, search my history), so you know this must be a good one.

Pleasant

An enjoyable respite from the political books I’ve been reading. Don’t doubt Faris has range to do drama as her co-star Janney has, but enjoying her in “Mom”

Fun and introspective

To start: I have always liked how Anna Farris is in her movies. She always made me laugh with the way she would say things or how she reacted. I like to listen to audiobooks on my to/from work. I was curious about her writing a book, but it was a sealed deal when I saw that she is also the one reading it ( oddly, not many actors/actresses can successfully read their own books). But she succeeded expectations! Like I said, I figured she would be funny...but I was very happy with how introspective she is in this book. Maybe I am taking a look at my life and this came along at a good time. I appreciate how she doesn't make things seem so perfect or so horrible. And she is able to phrase things is ways that I liked. Not all...but many many times. Sometimes you can tell that she is reading...but most of the time it's just great to hear her comments and stories and thoughts like she is just speaking to you over a coffee. She is definitely appreciative of her life...beginning to now...and mostly the lessons she has learned along the way. If you want a fun, easy listen ...this is almost that...but it will make you think about your life as you tag along Anna in her's...kind of like when they sneak vegetables into brownies. Good and fun!

Heart eyes and tears

Lots of emotions while listening to Anna’s honest account of the relationships in her life. It was inspiring. I’m glad I bought this; I will be relistening.

She has a very nice voice!

If you listen to her pod cast it's pretty much all the same advise and stories. She has a very soothing in intriguing voice.

A for effort!

I really didn't like the book very much! I guess, personally I felt it was completely based around her relationships w/ men. I haven't written a book, so I don't want to sound too judge Judy-ish. It just wasn't for me, maybe if you're looking for a book to hear endless stories of failed relationships, this might be for you.

Loved it!

Overall I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this book. I really enjoyed it though! This is a book about Anna’s life with a large focus on personal relationships. I love books about other people’s lives and hearing their struggles and successes. This book about Anna Farris really put her life into a different perspective than I had from her in her movies. (My favorite is house bunny)
I think this is a great book for anyone, in a relationship or not.
