Publisher's summary

Welcome to Chipping Cheddar, where supernaturals are hidden in plain sight!

There's been a discovery of demons. Again.

The appearance of a strange plant on the Taskers' farm sends Neville and me straight to the Federal Bureau of Magic database, where we discover that deadly demons are snatching bodies all over town.

Meanwhile, with the Day of Darkness looming on the calendar, family tensions abound, and I'm reminded, once again, that I'm the white sheep of this black magic family.

Can I put a stop to the Stepford invasion before it's too late, or will the demons take up residence in their hosts - permanently?

Bedtime Fury is the fifth book in Federal Bureau of Magic Cozy Mystery series. It is a humorous paranormal cozy mystery with demon action and a budding romance.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers-Fav Fury So Far

This was so far my favorite in the series and feel everything has hit its stride. The humor, the interactions with the characters, more playfulness with magic. Everything feels to have found a rhythm. The mystery within this tale feels tense indeed, at times I even found myself wanting to yell at Eden "This is serious!" as her relaxed attitude about a terrifying situation was a little distracting. But overall loved the exploration of new characters and expanding relationships. For those that have followed the series thus far they will not be disappointed. Looking forward to the next installment!

Flower power

Just another day in Chipping Cheddar. Not. Eden must deal with her family issues (nothing like being killed by your mother), personal romance issues (quit drooling over the police chief) and of course work (what demonic thing is coming through the gate from Otherworld). Why can’t things be easy for her.
I know her family is a lot to handle. Her mother is horney, chasing men young and younger. Her grandmother is just mean when she is not being psychotic. Both constantly on her case about dating when they know her circumstances. Remember, keeping magic on the down low. But she has the hots for a human.
I know that Eden’s parents deal with dark magic, but I feel that she is to hard on them. You must take a person’s character into consideration. Actually, they add the spice and humor to the story. I love grandma. The renovations on her brother’s home are finally completed. Unfortunately, for us his family is not featured in the story as much. I like the kids.
So, there is a threat to the town which could literally get it wiped from the map. Since Eden is so cautious about doing something as simple as digging a plant from the ground, ok burning the plant, the town’s people are put in danger. She goes around being Nancy Drew searching for the culprit while the threatening situation worsens. Guess who she must go to for help in removing the threat. That is right, her family. The day of darkness, a witch’s holiday is approaching. That means family pictures for the witches in full witch’s regalia. You can imagine how Eden feels about her mandatory attendance. There are the expected laughs and action we expect from any Eden Fury story. Why can’t Eden and the other covens let her family have some fun. They are not that bad.

Fantastic writing, fun characters

Just finished book 5 and I am so glad I stumbled on this writer and the series. I can thank my usual favorites for taking too long with their next book. I love the characters, the banter, and even the developing love story - which is usual tricky - most writers seem to conjure up forced cringy relationships which has made me hate romantic story lines but not Annabel Chase. I'm speeding through this series and hope her other ones are similar.
