Publisher's Summary

Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod. Bayside Summers is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to.

Gavin is about to find out that Harper really does exist-and she's going to knock his socks off! Find out for yourself in Bayside Romance!

When screenwriter Harper Garner got a shot at the big-time in LA, she celebrated her brave cross-country move with her first and only one-night stand - connecting so deeply with the sexy, brilliant man, she broke the number-one rule of one-night stands and left her phone number. Not hearing from him was only the first in a long line of hope-shattering, confidence-busting blows. Ten months later, Harper is done with men and done with LA. She pulls up her big-girl panties and heads home to Cape Cod to start over.

On the surface, interior designer Gavin Wheeler has it all: a successful business, a loving family, and a close-knit group of friends. But Gavin once endured a heartbreak so painful, he was sure he'd never feel anything for a woman again. A chance encounter at a music festival with a gorgeous, down-to-earth blonde proved him wrong, but when morning came, the woman who made him crave more was gone.

A serendipitous evening reunites Harper with her devastatingly delicious one-night stand, and the connection is just as intense as she remembered. Harper's life is too unsettled for a relationship, but Gavin is determined to help her find her way, especially if it leads straight to his heart. Moonlight conversations lead to steamy kisses, and as romance blooms, it stirs a love too real to deny. But when Gavin's past collides with the life they're building, it has the power to ruin everything.

Sweet Second Chance

I loved this. Such a sweet second chance romance set in a small town. This is the first book in this series i've read (or listened to) and I didn't feel lost or like I as missing anything. i'll definitely be going back and reading the others.

Gavin is fantastic. He's funny, intelligent, and goes after what he wants. Harper is the perfect match for him and he brings her confidence out. Their story was so real and I loved how it unfolded.

Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan both delivered fantastic narration. They brought the story and characters to life.

Great addition to this series

This was a great addition to this series with Harper and Gavin's story. Harper as a character from the previous books seemed almost as if she didn't exist with her busy schedule and not being able to connect with her friends at Bayside but when she made her appearance, she had a one night stand with new to Bayside character Gavin that did not end well. The pair have a lot of issues that they need to work out making this a set up for a great second chance romance read. Their story progressed well and had me hooked from the start in typical Melissa Foster fashion. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books just so that i can catch up with them after their story but despite the other character returns, this book can also be read as a standalone book as well. In the audio version, I felt that both narrators did a great job bringing both Gavin and Harper's story to life making it an enjoyable listening experience. I enjoyed this book from the start and would recommend it to others.

Second Chance Romance

This is my first time listening to Melissa Foster, so it’s also my first Bayside Book as well. It’s the fifth book in the series and a stand-alone. I didn’t feel lost at all. What I did feel was nothing short of amazing. Harper and Gavin’s story is what second changes are all about. The fact that it is set in a small town, even better.

Ever girl dreams of a guy like Gavin. He smart, funny, attentive and smoking hot. (It doesn’t hurt that Jacob Morgan is his voice either.) When he wants something he sets his mind to it. Harper is no exception.

Harper has dreams and goals, and is feeling a little lost in this world when some of those dreams get crushed. This poor girl needs her self confidence back, and Gavin is just the guy to do.

Their chance meeting is one they may or may not tell their grandkids about someday. Their second chance meeting can only be fate. I love how their story played out. It is realistic and down to earth. You could feel all of their emotions. I really didn’t want it to end.

Savannah and Jacob made this story come to life! They did an excellent job! I could listen to both of them all day long!

Light, easy listen

This is the fifth book in the series, but don’t that that deter you if you haven’t read or listened to the others. It is a complete standalone. Each book is a different couple with some interconnected characters. Just like the rest of the books in this series, it is a light, easy, fun book. I typically read Melissa Foster’s books so it was a nice change of pace listening to the audio book instead. The audio is very well done, and the narrators are great. The story is a second chance romance with a lot of serendipity thrown in. Gavin is very swoony. There are so many good qualities to list about him. He is sexy, smart, successful, sweet, thoughtful, and so much more. He is definitely book boyfriend worthy. I had a difficult time connecting with Harper. At times she seemed very immature and overly dramatic about events that happened in her life. She was a likeable character, but there were many eyerolls while listening. Throughout all of it Gavin was still patient with her. He really made the book worth it to me. If you like this author then I’m sure you’ll like this book.

You Can't Go Wrong With This Book

Harper Garner is having a tough time of things and needs to be around her friends. Gavin Wheeler has just received the shock of his life. Then he had me wondering what he was up to. He’s like a bulldozer. He’s going to plow right through someone’s defenses.

Our author does such a great job with her characters. I know I probably say that too much with Ms. Foster but I can’t help myself. She just has a way of making them seem as if they could be someone in your own circle of friends. You come to care about what they’re going through and want to make sure they’re going to be happy. You don’t want to see someone hurting without knowing that there’s someone there to care for them and help them when they need it.

Our narrators had me hanging on to every word. I enjoyed reading the book but once they started, I didn’t want anything to stop my listening pleasure. Ms. Peachwood brought Harper to life for me. It’s so much easier to picture the scenes when someone reads to you. Mr. Morgan had me thinking what Gavin would actually look like since I already know what he sounds like – especially how he sings. They are why I felt that 5 stars just wasn’t enough of a rating.

The places our author creates are places that you will want to visit. If you ever do visit those places, you will want to see if you can find her characters and see how they’re fairing since you last met them. As one character states “You’re real” and for some they come to feel that way – and our narrators make them seem so much more. And that includes both the happy and sad times – also when the man messes up.

Our author’s books are ones that cause you to relax – and that’s never a bad thing. It’s a great way to destress. Sometimes it’s a way to reflect on your own life and some of the choices you may or may not have made. Maybe it’s just telling someone you’re sorry and opening up and communicating which is a great start to being happy again. The sad part with any book is that all good things must come to an end. But like good friends you can visit with them at any time.

Super Sweet Second chance!!

Wow!! I thought I loved Melissa Foster's Whiskey series, but I think Gavin blew them out of the water!! Gavin is the absolute perfect hero. The way he gave everything to Harper was amazing. This was not an instalove story, they both took their time and really worked at building a truly beautiful relationship! This series had some crossover side characters which is fantastic, as Foster really knows how to write both humor and seriousness.

Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan both killed it with their narration, as usual. <3

Great second chance to love and small town romance

This is the fifth book in the Bayside Summers Series. I haven't listened to the first books in the Series yet. This is a second chance to love, and small town romance. Gavin and Harper's story is sweet, romantic, sexy and emotional. Gavin is handsome and caring. Harper is a lovely woman. They are great together and they share a strong chemistry. The secondary characters are also great. I love the friendship, and the family spirit in this story. Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan narration was great. #AudiobookObsession

Harper and Gavin

Melissa Foster has a knack of writing endearing characters and stories that pull me in. I love the Bayside and Seaside characters, and feel like its catching up with old friends. Bayside Romance features Harper and Gavin, and their chance at love. This book has plenty of steam and vivid imagery. Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan were incredible bringing the characters to life. They added the right emotions and had distinguishable voices. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. Characters from other books by Melissa Foster are mentioned in this story. Thank you Audiobook Obsession for this review copy! I loved it!

Sweet with a great narration

This was my first book of the serie, haven't read the author before, but now I really want to go back to the first book and read all the other 4 books. ⠀

I really liked this book, it's so easy to listen to, sweet, no drama, and the story flows pretty easy. All the characters are so great, Harper and Gavin are perfect for each other, Gavin has my heart he's just to perfect and utterly amazing. ⠀

The narration by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan only make the book more perfect. You cannot go wrong with them. ⠀

Fun Summer Listen

Can be listened to as a standalone. I really enjoyed the author's style and she was able to bring us a fun second chance summer romance. Overall, I really liked the main characters and loved their attraction to each other as well as the build up as they reconnect. Harper and Gavin were really likeable and the author wrote them such that they were technically "flawed" but their 'flaws' seemed somewhat insignificant and I was left feeling like they were almost too perfect. Otherwise, I was very pleased with this charming listen.

These two narrators do a phenomenal job and made this a fabulous listen. Keep up the good work!

Have Me Believing in Love 💘

This book has me believing in love at first sight again. This was a very sensuous, loving, caring, emotional, romantic
love story, that I enjoyed listening to.

I definitely had to continue listening and could not put it down until the very end. I loved the importance of building the friendship 1st before the physical intimacy. The friendship amongst all the couples and each other was heartfelt.

The narrator's Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan are two of my favorites and they continue to amaze me with their talents in this book. I definitely recommend this book to others to listen to.

I enjoyed this story

Bayside Romance, the 5th book in the Bayside Summer series was a sweet, charming novel that I absolutely loved. This second chance romance was Garvin and Harper's story and it will have you hooked until the end. These two had intense chemistry from the moment they reconnected and you will enjoy their romance. The story was relatively angst free with just one small issue at the end that was soon cleared up. I really enjoyed this story and would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan. These two were great in their delivery of these characters and they brought the story to life. I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.

Bayside Romance

The story

When does a one night fling become more? For Gavin and Harper that is exactly what happened. Gavin met ‘Parker’ at a festival and his one night with her left him realising she was the one that got away. That is until he meets Harper, and realises that she is the one that got away and he had got her name wrong! I love their beginning and the mis-communication, he got her name wrong and had no way to contact her only discover that Harper had in fact left her name and number on a piece of paper that she put in the wee front pocket of his suitcase – no one puts anything in there so he had no need to check in it!

Their story could be best one yet out of the Bayside Summer series, Gavin is the perfect book boyfriend and his care and attention with Harper as well as their chemistry is off the charts, though he comes with secrets, secrets that my threaten his relationship with Harper. Harper has sworn off relationships but it willing to try with Gavin, but will his secrets be too much for her? You will have to read to find out!

Once again Melissa has taken us down the road of love with their story and I know I say it all the time but I don’t know how she can make each book different!

The Narration

Savannah Peachwood & Jacob Morgan did a great job at bringing this story to life. I wasn't sure about Jacob at first as he seemed to be quite monotone and sounded like he was just reading rather than putting the emotion and feelings into the book but that soon changed and his tone and and voice fitted with the image I had in my head of Gavin.

I loved that the audio was told with duel narrators as that added more depth to story rather than have one person do the whole book. The audio was crisp and clear with no back ground noise or long pauses.

Beautifully narrated enjoyable story.

I enjoyed the way that Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan narrated this story, they brought the characters to line beautifully.

I liked the idea behind this story, it intrigued me and I wondered how it was all going to work out. I enjoyed watching the characters as they realised the connections they had and as they built their relationships. It was interesting to see how they also grew and changed throughout the book. I want to live in Gavin's house!!! Can someone arrange that for me please?

A Perfect Hero

Audiobook review. Gavin and Harper meet and have an instant connection that leaves them both changed. It was supposed to be one night but fate decided otherwise.

Gavin was a great guy in a way that is almost too good to be true. He said all the right things and made the right moves. If he were a little less perfect it would’ve enhanced the experience as it would’ve been more realistic. Harper was a bit more relatable. She was gun shy after bad experiences and trying to figure herself out. Their connection was actually pretty sweet and hot where it counted 😉

The pace was a bit slow for me and the intensity of the plot varied greatly. Though this is not a story of much action, per say, it didn’t consistently hold my attention with parts that felt like they didn’t really progress the story forward. The secondary characters were solid, enough to spark interest but not so much they take the spotlight.

The narrators, Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood, did a fantastic job with their roles. The transitions were seamless. The inflections, tone, and pace of the narration itself were infallible.
