One moment I'm within my domain in the abyss, and the next…

She's in front of me with a steam cleaner in her hand.

Her name is Grace… but I'm in no threat of falling, feeling hexed…

With her, I've ascended on land.

Now she wants to get rid of me, saying I'm an accident.

Unfortunately for her, I have no intention of leaving without a taste.

I plan to stay until she's flustered, wet, and bent out of shape.

Then maybe I'll give her a reprieve, after I've had my fill of the chase.

-Sepher, Duke of Hell

I loved the concept and I generally like Lucas' writing. I just the Narrator a bit annoying with how she drew out works sometimes. Not every part of the story had to sound long and sensual, so I found her rendition distracted from the overall story. Then I heard the preview for the upcoming book in the series... the narrator there was even worse. Not sure I'd continue on audible.

Cute Novella, annoying Narrator

solid short story. spice is just right too. A good way to pass time without huge commitment.

There wasn’t any real romance to speak of. She summons him. He loves her sex infused bath water. He sexes her up a lot. HEA.

Does she get to know him? Does he learn her likes, dislikes, or personality quirks? Nope. The only thing he learns about her, beyond sex, is that she had a boyfriend who did her wrong. It’s a novella, so I guess it’s fine that the story was shallow as a puddle.

Duet narration would have been preferred, especially given the minimal use of Mr. Bordeaux. Also, Ms. Bordeaux has a sing-song way of speaking that mildly annoyed me.

Sexy bath water? Um, okay…
