I'm a fish out of water in the worst possible way, but the pull between Furyon and me is stronger than the threat of my guilt. He introduces me to the beautiful corners of Pine Gulch—hidden pumpkin mazes, a herd of wild mustangs, a magical auction house, and the saucy town itself.

Our connection deepens as I start to fall in love with the wildness of this country haven and its people… one specifically. But good things don't last as the investigation closes in on me. I know I'm innocent, but can Furyon and I find the culprit before I end up behind bars?

My New Favorite Hazel Mack Book!

This is officially my new favorite Hazel Mack book!

Live, Love & Lasso is part of the Gulch Ever After series, a spin-off from the Haven Ever After world, and I absolutely love everything about this universe. Mack’s books are flat-out fun, sassy, and packed with spice, and her imagination has quickly become one of my favorite places to hang out.

If you’ve never read this world before, imagine a grown-up version of Halloween Town, where monsters are everyday citizens living their lives alongside everyone else. The Gulch Ever After series keeps the same magical rules as Haven Ever After but moves the setting to Montana, which means we get a delicious mix of supernatural creatures and country-western vibes.

This story centers around Furyon, a rugged dark elf rancher, and Lemon, a recently relocated vampiress potions maker. When strange things start happening to the animals in the Gulch, Lemon’s perfectly timed arrival begins to look a little suspicious. Furyon sets out to investigate, but he quickly finds himself tracking more than just the mystery surrounding her.

The chemistry between these two is fantastic. Furyon definitely gives off that dirty-talking shadow-daddy energy, and Lemon is more than happy to sink her teeth into the situation (and possibly him). Their banter and tension made this story an absolute blast.

As someone who listens to almost exclusively audiobooks, I have to say the narration made this one even more fun. The performance really brings the humor, sass, and heat to life.
