The complete series in a single offering!

Damien was a simple man, cruising on the highway of life. A goddess of temptation lures him into a deal he scoffs at. To him, superstition is for the foolish. Small problem: she's real, her ritual works, and Damien is magically teleported into a strange new realm.

He awakens in Nordan, a land of myth and magic. A realm where humans battle legendary creatures for the amusement of the gods. In a war between man and myth. Damien's powers set him above the rest, a lord of life and death - enemy of all. Stranded, but not alone, will he perish, or conquer his way home?

This is a really long audiobook, but it’s really good in the beginning. The voice acting wasn’t great by the male voice actor, but he does get better as the character grows and becomes more confident. There are a lot of errors in the voice acting though, including a whole chapter in the sixth book where a character gets replaced for another one, and they use the wrong voice actor, so that’s kind of confusing. But it is corrected in the next chapter. Definitely recommend giving it a go.

Super long audiobook very interesting! Loved it!

Sure it’s a good “journey” but up until the last page the main character is the most spineless little nerd of all time. Never grows a spine even after being a “champion king”. Also he is supposed to be a “playboy” before going to the other world and then spends the entire book being a prude, don’t know if this is intentional or the author is just super awkward with women, he dialog with his wife is always EXTREMELY cringy. Again the story is good but the main character ruins it .

Meh. Main character lacks all main character energy

First, to be fair, the Omnibus is a great value. 1 credit for nearly 100 hrs of audio is hard to resist…. But you probably should resist it.
The overall story is ok, the plot is ok. It’s a LitRPG so authors try to create their own unique twists, I understand this, and this author does a decent job of being distinct, and creates his own mechanic for magic and leveling, but that’s where my “praise” ends.
Even the mechanic he created is inconsistent. The main character needs a huge amount of mana (called Z in the book) and suddenly the same goes that gave just a few Z are giving thousands even millions so no real struggle for advancement.
The story is choppy and a bit disjointed. Characters are introduced as if you should know all about them already with just amateur attempts at a backstory, maybe. I found myself lost at times trying to follow characters and plot lines.
The narration drove me crazy. The male and female narrators pronounce names differently even when having a conversation about the same character. Just infuriating.
I stopped listening several times, but my OCD is making me finish. I really don’t care about the story anymore, it’s just background noise for flights and long drives because I got tired of rewinding passages in order to understand what was happening.
One line that stands out goes something like this, while describing a character, “ he was proud, full of himself and arrogant, and didn’t have enough hubris to fill a teacup…”
That totally contradicts itself(!), and that’s just one example.
I’ve got about 12 hrs left, and it feels more like homework than pleasure.
I’d rather have spent my credit on a 4 hr book of 5 star quality than 97hrs of torture.

Listen at your own risk…
