great ability to develop characters

well worth your time. enjoyed each mini series. story lines well thought. the characters were easy to follow

cute, good background

Overall, I do like it. one thing I find annoying (and this is just personal preference) is inaccuracies of earth facts unrelated to the fantasy story. For example, someone claims an equine has to be larger by definition than a pony, so more the size of a cart horse. That is incorrect. Although, it is true that the difference between horses and ponies are defined by measurements in "hands". However, both ponies and horses (and donkeys and mules etc) are all equines. This was a dentist from earth, talking about his experience on earth before the fantasy portion started. it would be one thing if they were redefining information for world set up, but the above example just comes off and lazy misinformation. It isa cute story, though, and easy to follow while doing something else.

An excellent compendium of first series novels

I hadn’t ever read any of Han Yang’s work before and I was very pleased with this ‘sampler’. I found each of the stories strong in their own right with only one 4 star among them. Performances were solid and enjoyable.

Then I went to look for more of a few of the books and, sadly, not on Audible (sad face). Oh well, I’ll find other options I guess!

things don't blend well between books

have no idea what 2nd book is trying to tell you, long story for what? also not the same narrators as the 1st. it's confusing and weird. I do like the stories but man they just don't blend well at all.
