Nexus Runner

By: Frank Morin

Narrated by: Keith Brown

Welcome to the Game!

Lucas Altan and his friends are among the thousand people ripped out of Colorado and teleported to an alien planet. He wakes up alone, with an overly friendly AI as his only companion.

Here, magic is real and the clock is ticking. The rules are simple:

Find your team.

Fight through four stages of monster-infested wilderness before time runs out.

Fail and you die . . . and condemn everyone on Earth too.

Lucas finds he’s got a knack for killing monsters, winning unique loot, and surviving against long odds.

Wielding fast wits, cool spells, and a magical sword that can’t cut anything physical, he needs to level up faster than the odds stacking against him. It’s the only way to save his friends and not become that guy who let Earth die.

This fast-paced action fantasy litrpg adventure hurls Lucas into a crucible of combat, magic, and nonstop adventure. Perfect for fans of DCC and Primal Hunter.

This new Lit RPG is intense, immersive, funny, and a great value! Bring on Book 2!

Frank Morin has crafted a phenomenal sci-fi story with Nexus Runner, and Keith Brown’s narration brings it to life perfectly. The pacing and narrative drive are exceptional, making it easy to listen for hours and hours without ever getting bored. The battle sequences are brilliantly written—completely immersive, detailed, and graphic enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. At the same time, I highly appreciate that the book contains no smut or heavy swearing so I can listen with kids in the car or read chapters with them at home. On top of the high stakes, the story is packed with hilarious movie and pop culture references that kept me laughing throughout.Clocking in at a 22+ hours this audiobook feels like getting two books in one, offering incredible value on Audible. I am hooked on this universe and looking forward to the next book. With the 3rd book having just been released in print and the 4th currently in progress, I am thrilled that there is so much more of this epic adventure to look forward to. Highly recommended!

loved the pace of the book!

Nexus Runner was an exciting and entertaining read from beginning to end. The action is fast-paced, the world-building is interesting, and the progression system makes you want to keep reading to see how powerful the main character becomes.

OP MC gets a challenge that is really a blessing

Kinda flat writing and characters. The plot reads as a LitRPG checklist more than a story in a specific setting. No character growth (other than levels), never any real feeling that the MC is in real danger. Some good scenes. Some fun abilities. But the MC goes from Stick weapon to a soul killing sword in like 5 seconds. Then has unlimited laser rifles in the next blink of an eye. The author just says “here is a problem” and “here is the solution” next!

One of the best audiobooks ive heard

Well lets start off with the book being amazing, really likeable MC and the side characters are good too! I love the world building as well and it gives you a pretty good idea where everything is at and the scenery in the scenes. Now lets talk about Keith Brown, he has an amazing voice for one. he also does a really great job at doing other voices for the other characters so you can digest the dialogue better. ive heard a couple of audio books where the narrator doesnt do this and just says it normally. Give this book a listen if you enjoy litRPG/GameLit its an amazing addition to this genre!

Highly recommend!

Enjoyable read with great storytelling. Highly recommend! Definitely enjoy a book more, when the second read is equally enjoyable or better, than the first read. This book is fun to read a second time. Read it.
