excellent story telling

an amazing job of writing a book with many new characters while being able to keep the focus on the MCs

I like how it's easy to follow the story considering I listen in a noisy evrioment

Solid LitRPG

After the initial adaptation to the old world that they're trying to save, the protagonists need to reassemble their band of sidekicks. This book covers that process.

It's a bit rote, with each of their old companions being rescued from some horrible situation and given the opportunity to join the band. This gives Chatfield the opportunity to do some worldbuilding, but the various places these characters are rescued from get very samey after a while.

That said, the characters are all well drawn, their situations are clearly described, and the action scenes are exciting.

This book addresses some of the issues that I saw with books one and two of the series. I'm definitely looking forward to book four in the near future. Recommended.

The more and more I hear, the more and more I think that this is just an Erik and Rugrat reincarnated in a different universe or something. I mean even the system works similarly which I’m sure is just easy for Michael but still…

Good book though. Typical Erik and Rugrat or whatever the main characters names are
