good addition to the series

The story developed a lot in this addition and we got a break that feels like it opens up the story for more to follow inna wider narrative I'm very much looking forward to how it goes.

Dutch apparently isn't a shield mana cultivator

author is either using AI assistant or is a shitty note taker.
the forlorn are built up as an implacablr ever absorbing and regenerating foe but when the final battle happens they die like the author was anxious to get past this plot point.

Outstanding balance between lore and action.

If I have a complaint, it’s the amount of time between text and audio book publishing. I’m so spoiled by what Travis brings to the story that I find I don’t enjoy it as much when I read it myself!

Becoming Legendary

This series keeps getting better and better. This book adds so much to the story and in an amazing way. Every chapter, every word, all hanging in the balance, creating perfection, or almost as close as one can get. I am so excited for book 10 to get here and I honestly hope we have several more books past 10 to look forward to down the road because I don't want this to end for a long while.

Throughout this entire series I've been happy with every decision, every level up, every gain, accept one. This one thing did not detract from the over all story or my rating, but I found myself frustrated over it.

Having Silas choose Selena over Lana was quite frustrating. Not because I can't see it being a good choice, but because I felt he really did not give Lana a chance. At one point in the previous books his decision to be "fwb" with Selena was said to be just that, he wasn't bound to her, etc. yet the story unfolded from there as if that was the beginning of the end for his choice. I just felt like Lana should have had more of a chance and every time Silas thought about Lana more, he'd automatically think "no, I'm bound to one woman. I don't want to give her the wrong idea" when he wasn't bound to Selena yet. It just felt super unfair in the overall writing for this particular situation given in the story. The final outcome on this matter works and I'm content with it, even okay with it given how it played out, but gosh do I wish Lana could have been more of a choice.

Great story and narration

Another 10/10 in this series. Hands down, one of the best LitRPGs on the market.
