Story

I have to start off by saying I absolutely adored Harlow as the FMC. She’s fiery, bold, and never afraid to speak her mind, while still being deeply caring and loyal to the people around her. That balance made her such a compelling character to follow and enjoy the book.

The plot was plotting, with a fast-paced, intense storyline full of high-stakes moments that kept me turning the pages. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the ending threw a twist I did not see coming. Now I’m dying for the next book.

Audiobook

Nicole Poole and Aiden Snow both deliver a truly mesmerizing performance. Their delivery and cadence are spot-on, perfectly matched to the flow of the story and keeping you locked in from start to finish. You can feel that they’re fully invested in the storyline, which only draws you in deeper.

Fast paced, intriguing, complicated, and fun urban fantasy adventure! Loved the characters and the story! Looking forward to the next book! The narration brought the story to life!!

Excellent beginning to a new series

Shannon Mayer has crafted a great first book in the Of Quirks and Curses series. It’s full of action set in the paranormal world. The storyline instantly grabs you and doesn’t let go until the very end.
Nicole Poole and Aiden Snow gave excellent performances as they brought the storyline to life and gave each character their own distinct voices.
I highly recommend this book to paranormal fiction fans and am anxiously waiting for the next in this series.

Surprising new world with a unique FMC.

Imagine being sent back to a magical school as an adult forcibly to help save lives. Harlow is forced to return to a place that yielded so much sadness, and finds that she is stronger than she was made to believe.

Such a unique world and magic system! I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Great Story

I can’t wait until book 2. Good plot and narrator. Cliff hanger. Wish I knew when the next book comes out.

Really enjoyed this world and story! The narration was good as well! A new author for me but really enjoyed it, can’t wait for book two!

Captivating and mysterious

I loved this book and am sorry I have to wait for the whole series! The narration was great, but Nicole Poole is always great. Aiden did a great job on the male voices too. Definitely a 5 out of 5!
