Reeling from the conflict with the dwarves, Ken and several Haylon classes move to an event on the 28th floor of a dead branch of the dungeon to prepare for the raid.

While he’s busy training, his grandparents give him his first mission to assess and carry out on his own. Between Ken’s time of scouting out and investigating his target, he runs in with the other three schools and learns he’s not the only ace damage dealer. Pendulum, Trusk and the Royal Academy all have a student that’s a head above the rest of their peers.

The pressure is on, especially when one of them is associated with Ken’s latest assassination target.

Very good but a little too much smut

I really like the story line for this book. In previous books I’ve been able to just skip to the end of the chapters to move past things when they got too involved but this book had things happen in the middle or end of chapters with very adult themes. There are times I like a book for the smut and when I like the book for the story, this balanced it fairly well until the end which became almost all smut.

Another great book

This series is so much fun and I look forward to each and every new book in the series!

The new narrator is incredibly frustrating

The cadence of the new make narrator makes no sense, he pauses at random intervals like he's really not processing what he's reading, it is incredibly annoying and almost made me drop the whole series. I also wish the author would stop using the phrase "turn them into a smear" dozens of times on each book. Other than that it's a fun ride

A nice nod to the anime fans out there. Trusk college is like an entire Anime and Comicbook convention. lots of shout out to the nerds, geeks, and otakus.

Incredible story so far

I took a chance on a free membership and picked this book out of whim. I've bought every book now and have listened to them all in 2 weeks. the story telling and voice acting is top notch. the dark matur9in this story keeps me listening. Crimson is by far my favorite character. I only wish that Bruce doesn't stop writing this series. I could listen to it for ever. please make it a real 74 wives! haha.
