very good book

this was a very good book. it kept me entertained and engaged the whole time. that's specific scene and you know exactly what I'm talking about. was very difficult to read it took me a couple days just to get past that scene. I can't wait to read the second one, I already have it saved to read it on October 15th.

Pam Godwin never disappoints! This is such a gut wrenching dark romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Fantastic performance by these narrators! Immediately starting book 2.

This book is so unbelievably good. The story plot builds to a crescendo that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. Ends on a shattering cliffhanger.. off to book 2 I need to know what is next..

if you are easily triggered i must say fair warning ⚠️ there is alot of triggers in this book. there are so many twists and turns this book kept me on my toes and my emotions everywhere I can't wait for the 3rd book..

Incredible!

I read this last year and loved it! I loved it so much I purchased the audiobooks. The performance is fantastic! The story is incredibly dark but in the best way possible. Pam Godwin knows how to write a book! The characters and story are all 10/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I binged through this series and wish I could go back and read it again for the first time!

Shattering psychological why choose dark romance

This three-book series is a stunning and emotionally draining dark romance (I'm placing the review on all three volumes).  The story itself is DARK, dark, dark.  If you buy these books and then complain about the content, you only have yourself to blame because you have been WARNED.  Take the warnings seriously if you're overly sensitive to fictitious depictions of rape, incest, child abuse, murder, and maiming, most of which occur in fairly graphic detail.

It's odd to say that sentence and then to go on to praise the story for its well plotted romance, but here we are.  Where this story ends is nowhere near predictable from where it begins.  Most of the characters are significantly flawed; some are downright evil.  You'll have to figure out which fall into which distinction.  I was mildly disappointed that one of the main characters that had high romantic potential (not spoiling it) ultimately lost his chance to be included in the RH.  But the HEA was still enough to overcome that slight.

The narrators on this series were OUTSTANDING.  They deserve all the AUDIE wards, and any that they may be eligible for through SAG-AFTRA.  While Stella was incredible, there are no words that do justice to the performance of Jack Hesperus.  His portrayal of Monty, Leonid, Wolfson, and Kodiak was precise and distinct.  You always knew which character was speaking (Kodiak was my favorite of that group), and the "flavor" he gave to each character's voice was perfectly suited to their personalities.  He also did so many less prominent characters, including Rhett, and I CHALLENGE you to prove it wasn't Tim Gunn voicing the character!

I can't imagine the research that went into this book.   I mean, you can't just "imagine" what it's like to live in the arctic and convey the kinds of details that Pam Godwin provided in these stories.  Right?  So I offer a hearty round of applause.  This story will stay with me for a long while, for both the romance elements that I love, and for the emotional roller coaster Pam sent me on.  This series is now marked among my all-time favorites.  

Hmmmm 🤔

Kinda strange...definitely f'ed up relationships between father and sons. Not fond of Frankie's character, even though she was unwilling put in her predicament. She's too impulsive with irrational thoughts. She helps to produce rifts between the brothers. Have they never heard of torture, rather than outright killing 🤔. That could have been done after they got what they needed. Denver was obviously afraid of death & violence/torture. They put too much trust in her. I predict she will be more trouble in the future. But, I'm sure the author will somehow redeem her. Wolf's character was the funniest part of the book....wonder if there's a future there...again, 🤔. Duet narration. Exceptional narration by Jack.

Holy F!!ck That was Emotional!

Wow I'm still in disbelief! Its is not very often a book actually blind sides me. Seriously though what an EPIC story!!! Totally unique and nothing like what I expected. I guarantee you have never read anything like it. How did she even come up with this concept?! The character realism was unreal. You feel every emotion right along with them. I'm seriously salivating for the next book already. My eyes are all puffy and me head hurts cuz I didn't sleep last night, couldn't stop listening. Omg its 1pm lol- that if nothing else should tell you this story grabs you and does not let go! Oh and the spice! Wow 🫦🔥👌‼️seriously HOT. The amazing sex scenes can only be rivaled by the truely diabolical cringe factor that I won't tell you anything about so it catches you completely off guard too. Did not see THAT coming. Its messed up and emotional and panty melting hot and will make you want to scream at the unfairness of life. Hot damn what a good book! Get it! Do it! Its worth 5credits easy! I cannot recommend enough!
