Great per usual. Some editing issues
So glad to be back pushing through Hell with Scorio. Love the world and excited to see how the story progresses.
Small things that get me in every book of the series so far… reusing words that stand out (e.g. undulating, cyclopian, ponderous). They’re all great words, but when used too frequently have a tendency to break immersion to some degree.
Also Nick P. putting on a great performance per usual. Called Scorio Scorpio a couple times, but I got a good chuckle.

Update: f***ing fantastic. Story is solid enough to overcome the editing issues. Phil has done a wonderful job yet again and I can’t wait for the next book. Time to relisten to the Black Gate series while I wait.

Much more consistent book in terms of quality throughout (though still a bit bursty). That being said the peaks were lower though still engaging. Very fun book with some character choices being intriguing others being a little obnoxious at times. Nothing superb but a good/ fun book none the less.
