Publisher's summary

In the wasteland, you do whatever you can to survive....

Even after the bombs fell, even after countries unleashed weapons beyond imagination on one another, even after lawlessness became the norm, people still expect their mail.

As a deadman, I'm uniquely suited to deliver it.

Rads don't bother me, and people who try to hurt me typically wind up dead. Sure, humans may not like dealing with a face like mine, but hey not like you’ve got many options here in the wastes.

But one day in the middle of my route, I come upon a new job and maybe the opportunity to start thriving instead of surviving.

Deadman is a Fallout-inspired apocalyptic LitRPG about a courier braving the irradiated wasteland. Featuring a weird west vibe, a detailed system, gunfights galore, radiation mutants, saloons, and endless adventure, it's perfect for fans of Fallout, Mad Max, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Deadman.

Excellent story and narrator

I read the authors, previous book, armor, which was fantastic, and look forward to this one. I was not disappointed, this book is fantastic, and definitely feels like the world of the video game fallout and waste land. Not sure who this author is, but look forward to more audiobooks a sequel to armor would be great too

A fantastic litRPG Western

After the apocalypse, the sentient creatures are humans... and deadmen. The deadmen can handle radiation well, at the cost of being rare and ugly.

The main character is a deadman that starts out much like David Brin's The Postman, delivering mail after the apocalypse. But then he finds a badge on a corpse.

Great story, great characters, great dialog. I loved everything about it, then got the next to books and those were great, with a wonderful resolution. Highly recommended.

It’s fallout. In a good way.

Think fallout from the perspective of a ghoul. It’s a pretty good listen, even if Heath Miller is terrible at American accents. The narrator does do a good job of making sure the characters sound different.

Post Apocalyptic Max Max Western

This is an odd story, but if you like your Clint Eastwood Western mixed with Max Max and a healthy dose of Fallout post apocalyptic feel (okay, maybe not all of the 1950s vibe), then, this is one to check out. I enjoyed the second book in the series, too, and am looking forward to seeing where this series goes with the story. Overall solid performance by the narrator.

Really enjoyed the take on post apocalypse.

Heath did a great job. And the story was very entertaining. It’s nice to have an adult character in the beginning. Rather than a kid that has to grow up.

Another amazing story by Titus

Not to discredit seersucker but I mainly have this a listen because C.B. Titus who also wrote armor was listed as the author. I don’t really like lost apocalyptic story’s but this honest to god makes me want to play fallout again. I also thought this was a complete story like armor was but I’m surprise and glad to see it’s gonna be ongoing. Can’t wait for the next book!

Red Dead Redemption plus Fallout meets Borderlands

I really liked this book I don't have any westerns under my reader bandolier, but if you liked John Marston as a protagonist and the mutated monsters, strange cults, irradiated/otherworldly settings and zany side characters from Borderlands and Fallout. then here's a story you'll enjoy! props to C.B Titus for the engaging story, and Heath Miller for the excellent vocals.

Another great story by CB Titus with another unlikely hero.

Definitely worth a credit. And if you’re a fan of Bethesda‘s Fallout series, even more so. It’s nice to have something that helps fill that void until we get to got back to wasteland. Though I do appreciate Titus‘s unique twist on the wasteland. Can’t wait for the next book.
