The trail leads Ilea to the Empire and beyond, to dark alleys and ancient dungeons, to unknown desolate lands beyond the frontiers of humanity, and to the ruins of a long-forgotten Kingdom.

There are old allies to fight with and new ones to be made; an excellent maker of cakes, a fiery fox with a sweet tooth, and an… unlikely historian. Ilea will need all the help and levels she can get, to beat down both beast and man (and occasionally the weather too), for her enemies are many, and not every fight will be as simple as just another Drake.

A long journey is just beginning, and she may be surprised where it ends. Hopefully, there is some good food along the way…

DING! awesome book that hurts my head

the story is pretty darn good. love the main character as well as the side cast. no complaints on the story. well paced and well written. the only issue I have with the book is one word. DING! I ended up having to skip small sections of chapters because of the DING! I ended up giving me a headache listening to it and I ended up having to take a break during the grind sessions not because I wanted to. Rather it was because I started getting migraines listening to it. I wasn't wearing headphones I was listening to the book through a speaker set to a reasonable volume and it became too much. I love the narrator, she does great work. but I would almost recommend reading a physical copy of the book because the DING! got so bad. Please Rhaegar don't make the narrator say it as much I would like to continue listening to the book... DING!

What an adventure can't wait for the next one. Nice to see there are a lot of enemies and stronger ones as well. I appreciate the author not really forcefeeding a bunch of lore and only discusses places briefly allowing us to visualize ourselves
