Publisher's summary

Anac, a resident of the 29th century, is torn away from his son, Sol, and exiled far into the past. He finds himself frightened and alone in the small middle Georgia town of Corston. Centuries away from home, with armed agents on his trail, Anac must hurry to save Sol before it is too late. However, his quest is entangled in something larger than he can understand, wrapped up with ancient forces beyond his control. His hope now lies with a mysterious writer on the Georgia coast-if only Anac can get there before the clock runs out.

A fast-paced adventure, with dangers as real as time and evils as old as the world, Reaching Sol is a story of the American South as it has never been told before.

Lots of twists and turns. Better pay attention!

There is a lot going on in this book…lots of surprises…I especially enjoyed the referrals to points of interest
in and around middle and South Georgia.
This could be a movie one day!😊

Reaching Sol Reaches the Soul

I’m not usually a fan of science fiction in print, but I thought I’d give Reaching Sol a chance since I live in the general area it’s set in. As with any futuristic fiction, it can be difficult to grasp the concepts and terminology that surround the time and technology concepts at play. I thought the author did a good job of incorporating explanations and context where necessary to aid the reader. There’s definitely plenty of material there for a future series or spin off. For me, the mark of good literature is whether or not it evokes emotion in me as I’m reading. The ending of this book definitely does that…not in a way that you can skip to the end and feel it but in a “tying things together” kind of way. I’m not sure it’s the ending that I expected, but it’s the ending that makes you feel what you read down in your soul. Words can do more than paint a picture, they can create a situation you can feel. That’s the ending of this book, a scene you not only see but you feel. Great job Wes Young. I’m looking forward to the next one.

More than a time-travel story

The narrator does a great job helping us ride alongside the main character who is desperate to find his son in a setting where both are lost in time. You can really feel this father's relentless love and experience the sacrifices he makes and the obstacles he must overcome. Highly recommend - especially to fans of time-travel stories.
