Lyric Sinclair has had a whirlwind couple of months.

She got sucked back into the industry she thought she was free of, she's in an exclusive relationship with a rock band, and her ex is back in the picture.

A whole new set of challenges arise as Lyric and her guys work through their grief. Moving on is never a simple task, but Lyric has back up, and these guys aren't afraid to fight for what they want most.

Danger is closer than ever… but Lyric is learning to face her demons rather than running at the first sign of trouble. She better figure it out. Or it'll be her biggest regret yet.

Madness is part two of the Ruined Records duet and has a happy ending. This is a reverse harem omegaverse that includes mild MM (one couple), but for the most part, everyone is focused on our heroine. There are growly men, knots, snarling, bonds, and you'll see the Sinclair pack come together.

Laughed, cried and enjoyed the ride. The emotional journey of the group as they grew together dealing with their pasts was put together in such a way as to keep the reader engaged throughout the book.

The RH aspect was just a bit off for me. It was like they all lived together yeah but it was mainly they only individually had relationships with lyric. The storm relationship was forced and didn’t fit the pack IMO. It was still good though

Overall I liked it

Book Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this contemporary human omegaverse duet by author Jillian West. It is full of angst, drama, steam, and romance.

The whole pack is delicious, a mix of rock stars and security personnel, but I have a special thing for the sweet (and a bit domineering) beta Saint and the devil-may-care alpha Lachlan. We are given men that fit several tropes within the pack: friends to lovers, second chance, grumpy/sunshine, and a cinnamon roll MMC. Each of the guys brings something to the relationship that the FMC, Lyric, needs to feel complete.

Before Lyric gets packed up, she had never experienced a proper heat. I absolutely loved that there was a valid reason for Lyric to be taking heat suppressants – wanting to maintain her relationship with her beta boyfriend, Saint, without the need for an alpha. She felt that designations should not affect long-term commitments, and she loved Saint. Full Stop. It was only as that relationship faltered, and her suppressants started failing, that the need to find alphas arose, and time was fleeting before her heat set in.

Part two quickly reaches inferno levels of heat – maintaining that intensity throughout. This does not even include Lyric’s heat scenes, as she goes through several mini-heats before her big, coming off the suppressants-enhanced, heat. The sex ranges from soft and romantic to hot and debased, but always consensual. One very hot chase scene stands out (but so many scenes could be mentioned here). This duet contains MF scenes as well as MFM and group scenes. There is also MM and MMF.

I highly recommend this completed duet. It has a neurodivergent FMC and explores several mental health and drug issues amongst all the smut. Plus, there is a stalker, so it also has a thriller feel. It really has everything, in a nice omegaverse package.

Narration Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The narrators blew this one of the water in this multi-cast dual narration-style performance of Madness.

New to me (and a new fav) narrator, Drew Mehrtens, has a fantastic deep voice that he used to bring the gruff-hearted Storm to life. I felt him in my soul and found myself blushing more than I expected during the spicy scenes.

Vanessa killed it, as always. She’s one of my favorite female narrators for a good reason - she is able to take on an amazing range of voices.

Michael Gallagher performed the other men in the pack to perfection. Another of my favorite voice actors. His Lachlan and Saint are swoon-worthy.

Omegaverse done right!

Honestly this book was a hard read for me. I normally go for the dark and depraved but light on the emotions. The emotional rollercoaster this duet put me through was hard but so worth it. I loved the characters and the growth they’ve all gone through in the duet. I felt like this totally could have been real life people and maybe that’s why I had a hard time with the depression and loss.

Still a fantastic read and being able to listen to it while I read was the best way to experience this book. The narrators that Jillian picks are always on point and this book/audiobook was no different!

Emotional damage!

Read and listened to this duet at least 20 times, and it never gets old. After years of reading most of the omegaverse books on the market, this one still remains in my top 5. Worth the read, worth the buy, worth the time.

Best Omegaverse!
