“We never know the worth of water until the well is dry.” (Thomas Fuller)

Ben and his crew have come a long way since they first began their dystopian road trip from hell. But hard-learned lessons and discovering what it takes to survive in a world that doesn’t tolerate the weak or unprepared has molded them into a cohesive team.

With the eastern slope of the Rockies almost on the horizon, Ben and the others must remain more vigilant than ever. If the highway has taught them anything, it’s to never let their guard down. Danger is never far away in a world where their only assurance is that the next day will be harder than the last.

Ben must rally the troops and push on toward Colorado, while trying to navigate a gauntlet of murderous bandits, dwindling resources, and a doomsday cult leader who would like nothing more than to make sure they never see home again.

I love the writing. I love the characters. Mr. Bruno and Mr. Tell have both done great jobs!

This series has been quite an adventure

Good writing without all the left garbage that is getting into everything now a days. The good guys are in charge and fighting the fight.

Clean story without the garbage.

I had certain expectations when starting the serious, and before every book. some were met, others were not. what makes this book really good is the fact that even some unmet expectations were replaced my excellent plotlines in arc. additionally I love the humor and the gimification elements. Miller doesn't joke much when he's writing, but when he does he makes an excellent work of it. he also takes realistic fight elements found in good computer games and portrays them as perhaps not a soldier but a gamer would, but still very realistically. kudos on a job very well done.

pleasantly surprised at how good the book is

After journeying through all 14 books of Dark Road, I can truly say this series has been a remarkable adventure. I waited until the final books to write this review because I wanted to see the full arc before sharing my thoughts—and I’m glad I did.

Bruno Miller has crafted a gripping, emotional, and often thought-provoking post-apocalyptic tale that kept me hooked from start to finish. The characters grow with every challenge they face, and the pacing never falters. Each book builds on the last, making the series feel like one long, immersive journey rather than separate stories.

Andrew Tell's narration has brought the world to life in a powerful way. His voice work added depth, emotion, and a sense of urgency that made the experience all the more intense and enjoyable.

This series has been more than entertainment—it’s been a companion during long days and quiet nights, and it’s left me reflecting on resilience, leadership, and the bonds that hold us together.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves action, heart, and a story that sticks with you long after it ends.

What a great adventure and experience.

This book brings into a cult like group that is using secret drugs to try and control people. Do not even think this guy is really a pastor. More like a gang leader, but in the end gets what he deserves. I like that Ben has a conscience, but also makes sure evil will not get away when possible.

Bruno keeps the storyline interesting
