interesting and quite realistic

Well written if somewhat predictable to those who have considered societal collapse. Some prepper biases and predujeses creap in, but then real people have the views they have by reason of their personal experience. All in all a good read, never boring.

Excellent Story

The post-apocalyptise served up just the way I like it. Realistic situations without scifi beasts. This was really a pleasure to listen to. The narrator did an excellent job. so many post-apocalyptise books are over run with fifedomes and boring military ramblings. Not this book. This is a feasible tale of a couple families in a post apocalyptic emt world. well done.

Overall Good Story Line

Characters were well chosen and fit well with storyline. A little to much of Ben’s pondering. Ended was left hanging. Better narration would improve greatly, overall enjoyed it!

Good series

We enjoyed these books. I really liked the fact that it was less gory than most apocalyptic series. I think you’ll like it. We did.

Great take on an EMP

This series was a great take on an EMP, although I would have been cursing up a storm if it was me in the situation 😅

How short the books are

Could have combined all 5 into 2 books and continued the series. Seemed too short.

loved the story. Andrew tell is a stunning narrator. highly recommend this to everyone. Will definitely read more with same narrator

The audiobook version of divorced dad rock

Ex military just wants to go fishing but - boom - can’t do that when the nukes drop - awww, this world is just so unfair.

Well, luckily his boy is going to grow into a MAN from this but with lines like “don’t let what happens define you, these are special circumstances”.

Like the author just bleeds their own insecurities onto the page - which, I get write what you know, but maybe leave out the “get off my lawn” bullshit.

I listen to books to as background noise, I’ve sat through 60 hours of Sherlock Holmes, all of Tolstoy, etc - I’m pretty sure this is my first negative review of an audiobook I’ve ever left.
