Great Story!

I really enjoyed listening to this series. I read the books awhile back, but listening added another level of enjoyment. The narration is well done. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys this genre.

Too many gun references

The characters were mostly described well. I knew more about the guns than what the people look like.

Entertaining

I really enjoy the story overall. My biggest complaint is how much the author spends time in the protagonist head. There are multiple times the author could’ve told you what the protagonist was thinking and moved on in a single sentence yet he spends five minutes discussing it. It’s also very repetitive with some of the same things especially with his children growing up in this harsh New World. That’s my only complaint and the only thing about the book that honestly is starting to drive me crazy as I’m now seven books in.

Wonderful

This was a great read! Story kept my attention the whole way through. Author made me feel like I was right there in the middle of the action.

Foe those like me who wanted to hear how and if they made it home, they are alot more books..!! 12 or 13 total... I just found book 6 called Reckoning... I just uploaded the entire series to my library..!!

Great story of survival

Finally a series that stays realistic. Most books of this genre get way too outlandish and unbelievable.

interesting and quite realistic

Well written if somewhat predictable to those who have considered societal collapse. Some prepper biases and predujeses creap in, but then real people have the views they have by reason of their personal experience. All in all a good read, never boring.

Excellent Story

The post-apocalyptise served up just the way I like it. Realistic situations without scifi beasts. This was really a pleasure to listen to. The narrator did an excellent job. so many post-apocalyptise books are over run with fifedomes and boring military ramblings. Not this book. This is a feasible tale of a couple families in a post apocalyptic emt world. well done.

Overall Good Story Line

Characters were well chosen and fit well with storyline. A little to much of Ben’s pondering. Ended was left hanging. Better narration would improve greatly, overall enjoyed it!
