Publisher's Summary

All of Lee West's post-apocalyptic best sellers in one boxset! Six books, two series. Over 1,000 pages of post-apocalyptic action and suspense.

"A refreshing take on the genre! Lee West takes your worst fears and multiplies them by 10...."

The Blue Lives Apocalypse Series (Books 1-3):

Sam and Jane Archer walk out of a back-country hiking trip into a living nightmare. Their car is vandalized and dead, along with every other vehicle in the trailhead parking lot. Unable to get a cell phone signal, and spooked by a threatening encounter, they resign themselves to a long hike home, suspecting a possible EMP attack against the United States.

What they discover along the way shakes them to the core!

The electrical grid has been down for two weeks, plunging the world as they once knew it into complete chaos. Citizens live in helpless terror of violent gangs - the police hunted down and killed on sight. Food and essential resources have dwindled to nothing, taken by the wild bands of marauders that have risen from the collapse to murder and plunder at will.

Little hope remain, as Jane, a local police officer, and her husband Sam, a military veteran, start the harrowing journey home to save their only daughter Lea - before she is consumed by the madness.

The Reckoning Series (Books 1-3)

Joe and Meg Birch have saved for years to take the trip of a lifetime. On the last night of their cruise, while most of the passengers are sleep - the unthinkable occurs. A suspected electromagnetic pulse (EMP) damages most of the cruise ship's critical systems, forcing the crew to divert the remaining power to essential systems.

While the massive ship struggles in rough seas, the seasick passengers grow increasingly uneasy about their situation. The flow of food and drinks has been significantly reduced, air-conditioning is non-existent and the ship's security team is visibly armed. What they don't know is that the ship has lost contact with the mainland, and their captain is on the verge of making life-altering decision for all of them.

Skeptical of the conditions onshore and unwilling to pull into the ship's homeport without the assistance of local pilot craft, the captain elects to leave the area and seek safe harbor to the south. There's just one catch. The ship only carries enough food and fuel to last a few more days - and their destination remains uncertain. The geographical scope and magnitude of the damage caused by the mysterious event remains unknown to the crew.

With Joe and Meg's prospect of returning home about to slip away, the Birch's face an agonizing choice. Stay with the ship and take a chance on the captain - or steal a lifeboat and try to return home. Joined by like-minded passengers and a few salty crew members, they decide to make their own destiny - despite the unknown dangers.

The Mutiny chronicles this impossible, gut-wrenching journey to get home, where it quickly becomes obvious that their story is far from over!

Don't fall for the 6 books for one credit

Poorly written and poorly narrated. From the description, I liked the premise of the series, but it didn't take long into the first book to realize I'd made a mistake. I tried to give it a chance, but quit after the second book. Not even curious about how it turns out, nor interested in starting the second trilogy. Save your credit for something else. I wish I had.

Not well written

I did not make it far into this series, I like this type of story, however, right from the beginning it started out pretty unrealistic. This should be more in the teen section if your going to try and write a mushy love story with and end of the world theme.
The author tries to hard to convey how in love the main couple is. I made it to the part where the couple is trying to walk side by side and hold hands while trying to be tactical. They are trying to get home to their 24 year old recovering daughter, yet they leave her alone to go back packing for 2 weeks. Don't waste your time on this series.

characters are starved, beaten and half dead. then get up joking like nothing happened, this is so unbelievable I'm thinking of returning it.
only good If you need a good laugh, or something to put you to sleep.

not a very convincing narrator

i made it through book 1 and a little way into book 2 and had to quit ..maybe one day when im desperate enough to be tortured by the narrator i will finish..but not anytime soon..
while i loved the story idea and the writing thus far , i have to say the narrator was way too happy .. in every bad moment the narrator was projecting an entirely too joyful voice especially with Kate ...it became too much , ..id love to hear it performed by someone who can actually project anger when the situation is called for ...there is. ithing so joyful about a situation like the author has painted

don't waste your time

hated this. don't waste your time. it starts off good, and then jumps the shark. the writer acts like cops know more about tactics than real military war veterans. the guy perfoming it has never heard real people talk in his life. avoid this.

Hastily written and poorly narrated.

I wanted to like this series, but you could tell that these books were written really quickly and therefore lacking a convincing narrative. The books have people surviving an emp, but not once asking or trying to figure out what or who set off the emp. But, worse than that was the narration. The narrator had no sense of who should have accents. Randomly giving people (all from the same area) southern belle accents, Boston ascents, and randomly throwing in 1920's gangsters accents. it honestly just made this series hard to enjoy.

amateur writing, childs book with swearing,

reads like a book written by an 11 year old, the english is very basic, and repetitive, no depth of character or scenery, does not make you feel like you are involved, very poor, a very obvious story, almost magical occurances to help the characters out of sticky situations, totally unbelievable, very boring, trudged through it, now i wish i hadnt bothered, wasted 31 hours of my life
narrator not much better than the writer, his voice changes are awful

Hackneyed, clichéd chewing gum for the ears

While 30hrs of audio for 1 credit is a good deal, don't expect a masterpiece. One dimensional characters, predictable twists, inexplicable shark jumping and broken logic. But, it did get me through a week of work! 👍

First 3 books terrible. Second 3 quite good.

First trilogy is contrived and obvious, repetitive. Bland unbelievable characters & relationships. A narrator that makes all women sound whiny and men either gruff or feminine. Second trilogy was much better & narrator far more suitable. Still some of the faults of the first trilogy but with a much stronger story and characters it was worth the listen. I feel like I lost 15 hours of my life to the first trilogy. Had to rate 3* as I can't rate the two trilogies separately.

Utter Dross

The most inane dross I’ve ever had the displeasure of listening to.

I suspect the author has never had a conversation with another human. No depth or truth to any of the characters.

The narrators “bad guy” voices were farcical.

I would rather eat the authors hot sick than listen to another moment of this tepid drivel.
