Temp Jobs and Murder don't mix!

Attacked in the Aisles is the 2nd book in The Temp Jobs Cozy Mysteries and it is great! The characters are likable and the mystery kept me guessing. Scarlett lost her dream job in Interior Design and is working various temp jobs to make ends meet. She lives in the basement apartment at her parents. In Attacked in the Aisles, Scarlett is working at a big food warehouse store handing out samples. She is dating Derrick whom she met when she worked at the Interior Design company although she still thinks about Austin from the last temp job.
Derrick stops at the store to say hi and for a meeting with Scarlett's Manager Julia. Someone gets killed in the store and Scarlett ends up in the middle of it all! She thinks Derrick is in danger. This book has a good pace and the mystery was interesting. On top of this mystery, Scarlett is helping her Dad figure out who caused his accident. There is a lot going on which keeps the book interesting! I requested and received the audiobook for an honest review. It is narrated by Amber Battaglia who does a great job with the various voices and brings the characters to life. Very enjoyable book and series and I can't wait for the next book to see what fiasco Scarlett ends up in!.#AttackedInTheAisles #TheTempJobsCozyMysteries

Great Story & Series!

Attacked in the Aisles is the second in the Temp Job Cozy Mystery Series by KB Blake. After being unfairly fired and blacklisted in her profession, Scarlett Chase has to resort to working for a temp agency. She’s working in a big box warehouse store handing out free samples to shoppers when she rushes to the scene of a deadly accident. She soon realizes it was murder, and an 2nd victim is soon found in the freezer. When Scarlett is kidnapped, she has yo fight for her life! She is a brave and tenacious young woman who also has to be an emotional support to her family. Her father was severely injured and her mother is tirelessly working to care for him. Scarlett is also trying to figure out who was responsible for her father’s hit-and-run by reviewing his cases. I really enjoyed this book and the series. Each book has a mystery that is resolved by the end, but the father’s accident and Scarlett’s problems overarch the books. I can’t wait to read the next one. The narration by Amber Battaglia is wonderful. She gives a unique voice to all the characters which brings them and the story to life. I received a free audiobook code fir my honest review.

Things are getting more intense

One of the things I think I'm loving the most about this series is the relationships between Scarlett and her family. Her relationship with her brother is fleshing out, her mom is the mom everyone wants, and the story with her dad is heating up. This mystery was even more complex than the mystery in the first book, and there were a lot of moving pieces that kept things moving at a brisk pace. Scarlett's romantic life is in just as much chaos as her work one, and there are things happening with her best friend, Cass, that I'm interested in seeing the outcome of. The story is amazing, the narration is one of the best I've heard, and the whole experience is pure joy. I'm ready to dive into book 3.

Wonderful Cozy

Attacked in the Isles is Book 2 in The Temp Jobs Cozy Mysteries by K B Blake. Scarlett has taken a temp job giving samples, but, she did not expect dead bodies to turn up! I completely enjoyed Book 1, Death Behind the Dumpster, but book 2 is so good. Scarlett is once again on the case delving into the mystery and bodies keep turning up. I love how K B Blake progressed the story naturally and it is always enjoyable when core characters move from book to book. I also learned more about her father's bike accident. Amber Battaglia gives a good performance in her narration. I can't wait for the next audio book. I believe that this is a marvelous cozy series.

Attacked in the Aisles is an entertaining cozy mystery but the pace is slow. I look forward to the next book.
