Publisher's summary

Sibyl

I am an environmental researcher, alone and stranded on an alien world after my vessel crashed. I’m running out of food and water until he arrives in the abandoned village I’ve taken refuge in. I keep hidden, stealing the scraps he leaves behind. By day he is a nightmare of muscle and steel. By night, he sets fire to my dreams. What will he do to me, when he finds me?

Damiron

I am a Destran warrior. A thing of war and destruction. My ax has cut down more enemies than I can count. Nothing matters more to me than protecting my people and my Sola—my living ship and symbiont—from the enemies that hunt us. Until I meet her. Only then do I know what it means to want. What will she think of me, when I end this charade and claim her?

But as we move closer to each other, those responsible for attacking my Sola emerge from the shadows. When the true faces of those enemies are unveiled, they are not what anyone expects. Every odd is stacked against us as we race against time to find our allies and undermine the enemy. If we fail, more than just our lives are at stake. The fate of many worlds sits in the balance.

Destined for the Alien Lord is book five in the Lords of Destra series. Each is a complete story with no cliffhangers, nor cheating, and guaranteed consent and happy endings.

This series has me hooked!!

Great Sci-fi and character building. I don’t want the series to end. Such action, romance and you can’t help but feel like you are there.

4.75 Stars

Destined for the Alien Lord is book 5 in the Lords of Destra series. This book is about Sybil and Lord Dameron. Sybil is an environmental researcher. I really liked this one. I enjoyed how they met and formed a relationship. I am looking forward to reading the final book to see how the series ends. The narrators are the same two who have narrated the entire series. The narration has always been good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the female narrator’s voice for Dameron. Overall, I give this book 4.75 stars.

Steamy but not too smutty!

The heroine: Sibyl - she is an expert in climate and environmental science on a mission in space with six other women when their spaceship was in trouble, and she was ejected from the starship in an escape pod which landed on a barren desert planet nearby. After getting out of the pod, she finds an abandoned village and hides there. She thinks the other women had died and that it was her fault.

The Hero: Damiron - he is a Destran Lord, known for his courage in battle and his ability to wage war. He is a symbiont with a living ship called a Sola and is responsible for all the people that live aboard the ship. His ship was damaged by the enemy when they landed on this desolate world.

The Story: In the last book from this series, we found out that four of the seven ships had found each other and were looking for the last three ships. Also, that the Brakken, the enemies of the Destra who were after the Sola’s for the Lami the ships made which they used as a drug, were not alone. The Brakken were well funded and being directed by someone else who wants to be in charge of all the Lami. Damiron learned this after they landed, and he hid his Sola underground and was spying on the Brakken and their allies.

One day, Sibyl hears voices in the abandoned village where she has taken refuge. She sees two aliens with color changing skin. She could tell that one was a leader. He was massive and muscular with long hair. Sibyl hides from the strangers, though Damiron knows right away that an alien female was there but hiding.

I like that this one really advanced the ongoing storyline that has been happening throughout the series. We found out a lot more about what the Brakken and their allies are up to and who is ultimately the enemy of the Destra. There was a battle, though there are more to come while they continue to search for the last of the Sola’s. The story was interesting, and I like the fact that these books are steamy, but not too smutty. There are good storylines.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Elle Sonali. They have done this entire series and are very good. Both do a fantastic job and have perfect voices for these characters. I love Tor Thom for these large and powerful aliens as he has a super deep voice and Elle Sonali has a youthful sounding voice and is good at showing emotion through her voice.
