Huge Fan

I stumbled across David Petrie and The Necrotic Apocalypse by pure luck and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’m brand new to this genre and he hooked me in instantly! Listened to all 4 books back to back and can’t wait for book 5! Well done!

I'm so excited for the next book

this series continues to impress and amaze me with how it still keeps everything feeling fresh and not stagnant.

chapter 46 blue balls

For the most part it's actually a really good book. I've enjoyed the series so far and it continues to provide enjoyable content. but I won't give too many spoilers, just be warned without in chapter 46 there is a character that can do something with a new power that would probably save the day and they don't even try to use the new power a single time. you're going to find yourself screaming at the phone or whatever device you're listening on going use the power use the power. just now it never happens and does have permanent consequences. you're going to have balls so blue you'll think you'd join the Navy

Not as Great But Still Good

Not as big a fan of this one. It is cool to see the Vegas crew dealing with stuff without Dig for a good part of the book, but that final act, ow, it hurt my heart. Devastating. I will hold out hope that this will lead to interesting things though.

Seemed like an inbetween book, then… Wow

This series continues to surprise and improve. This book in particular introduces a lot of cool concepts to get excited about in the future as well— Even more than the previous one!

I’ve seen some confused as to why Digby refuses to use a certain spell at the end… Well, without spoilers, it’s likely because of the dire situation that needed to be solved immediately. There simply wasn’t time to sit there and use the spell in question. It made sense to me, at least.

I’d say my only real complaint for this one is its focus on 3 characters, while the rest hardly get to be in it. It’s mostly fine, but Alex and Mason (especially Mason) felt very sidelined, and the focus on Rebecca in this one makes me hope we finally get an Alex focus next time. There also isn’t really an antagonist to speak of, just various nuisances and mediocre enemies, which was fine based on how the story went.

All in all, amazing and worth the wait. Surprised me with how creative the author is still being 4 books in!

Book 4 makes me an even bigger fan!

I found and fell in love with this series last year and consumed the first three books in less than a week. I have terrible self control issues with things that bring me joy, this series is one of those things! The only issue that I had was that I had to wait a year for book four, I'm so greedy that it was almost unbearable!
All silliness aside, Petrie is an amazing author and I'm in love with these characters and I enjoy the hell out of the amazing adventures he takes me on with every book. This man is a treasure! Baldree's narration is perfection! I can barely wait for the next book.

Another amazing addition to this wonderful series! The ending is such a cliffhanger that I am already feeling ravenous for the next book. Keep up amazing work everyone!
