Publisher's summary

The only daughter of a country baron, Honor hin'Bellvue has long felt the weight of duty to her noble house - a duty her mother abandoned when she left her child and husband for a foreign lover. Now an adult, and entering the social Season for the first time, Honor is keen to help restore House Bellvue's reputation.

Natasha Volkova is an immigrant to Metamor City, struggling to adjust to civilian life after serving in a brutal world war. When she isn't working as a house guard, she soothes her battle scars with hard drinking and beautiful women - but the ladies of the noble class are strictly off-limits to a commoner like her. A misunderstanding throws together these women from two very different worlds...and sparks a passion that neither expected. But such a liaison carries serious risks. Metamor society is highly stratified, and Honor's submission to a social inferior would bring shame on her family if it were discovered.

Can she find a way to balance her desires with her duties? Or will she follow in her mother's footsteps, and drag the House of Bellvue once more into disrepute?

Honor Bound is the first book in The House of Bellvue, a three-part lesbian romance with a happy ending at the conclusion of book three. The books include a variety of queer relationships, and fantasy elements and D/s themes are central to the story.

Critic reviews

"The House of Bellvue is a sizzling ff fantasy with a plot that will keep you turning pages. Natasha and Honor have plenty of chemistry from their opening scene, and the story is full of charming secondary characters, witty banter, and superb world-building. Anyone seeking fantasy romance centered on ladies will want to pick this one up." (A. H. Lee, author of The Knight and the Necromancer)

Delightful and sexy

A beautiful narration of the first of several books about a lady, her bodyguard, and her love interest in a time of great social change in the Empire of Metamor. On its surface, a lovely Victorian-esque tale in one of the richest and most detailed story universes in current fiction. But under that surface story lies a sexy kinky love story that is both tender and smoking hot. This is romance writing at its finest - a great plot without the sexy parts, which becomes more complete by not shying away from the steamy moments. Furthermore, it is very inclusive and queer and kink friendly.

Even if I weren't a long time fan of Metamor City, I would have thoroughly enjoyed this. A truly fun experience!

Delightfully Complex

This is a tale of Metamor City from a time period previously unexplored. It tells of a budding romance between a dominant and submissive with some sweet sex scenes, but this romance is intertwined with serious topics such as war veterans, PTSD, and the questions of gender and class obligations. I look forward to seeing how things unfold between Honor and Natasha as well is in the larger scope of Metamor politics.

Sweet and spicy

A very spicy romance novel set in early Metamor universe. Wasn’t sure that I would like the bdsm theme but it ended up being interesting. Definitely will continue the series.
