Really good.

clever use of Greek mythology and a litrpg system, the author seems to be very underrated. The Perfect Run was my first series from them and that was just amazing, this book shows a strong capability to write a story in essentially ancient Greece but keep the culture well while mixing in a few contemporary ideas without feeling like it was just forcing some ancient culture to weirdly adhere to modern culture. I look forward to the rest of the series. narrator is phenomenal and I now look into anything he does

good but hard to keep track

the characters is not 1 dimensional. the power system is not hard numbers. characters don't have plot armor to an extent.

only down side to this book is that there are so many factions and characters. sometimes its hard to keep track of what is what and who is who

Wow

This was one of the most amazing books I’ve listened to. I was shocked at the depth of characters and at the pace. By far one of the best books I have in my audible library.

A New Favorite Series

The highest praise I can give is that even after blowing through the book as fast I could I was left wanting more. For better or worse, new spins on old mythology have been attempted many times before. I'm happy to say that Kairos is definitely one of the most fun takes on the concept I've encountered. It takes many elements from mythology and blends them into a LitRPG world in a way that I found fun and surprisingly natural.

I usually struggle with LitRPG (I'm more of a progression fantasy person myself) but in this world I found the system fun and engaging. In some of the LitRPG stories stat block exposition can get very old very quickly. I never felt that here as the system felt tied to what we already know of Greek Mythology and helped propel the narrative forward in a natural and fun way. Further the author avoids some of the pitfalls of the genre which is always a relief. The story has love interests but no harems and the protagonist actually suffers set backs on his journey rather than taking a straight path to the top. There are also consequence to the characters actions and the antagonists seem neither inept nor omnipotent.

TLDR: If you want a fun fantasy series that mixes a interesting world, a unique take on Greek mythology, and a fun progression system, then this book is definitely worth your time.

Fun take on ancient Greek mythology

Downloaded this one on a whim for a long road trip, having never heard of the author and seeing it didn't have a ton of reviews. But I'm so glad I did, as it's easily one of my favorite litrpg books now. The litrpg elements are very light and don't get in the way of the pacing, as is often an issue with audio books in the genre that spend 10 minutes rattling off character sheets every other chapter.

I really enjoyed the character development and original takes on many ancient Greek myths, and look forward to the next in the series. If you're a fan of mythology or litrpg, it's well worth the listen/read.

If you like Greek Mythology you should enjoy this!

Great use of past cultures stories to tie a new tale onto. Enjoying the characters and their development. Author isn't afraid to kill off characters, which is usually needed in many stories. Good buy!

Interesting almost believable.

What I liked was the story flowed from one adventure to the next with no gaps or loss of momentum, keeping me wanting it to go on.
Thank you for letting me become part of the story story on my mind.

It felt like he was mixing old epics with litrpg

The writing style at first was pretty normal, but it slowly turned into a romantic epic with a litrpg system. I really didn’t prefer the writing style, and the romance was confusing and unrealistic. Other than that though the progression was steady and interesting, and the timeline wasn’t confusing. Also of course the narration was great as always. Overall, I think its worth listening to.
