Unexpected

From the description I thought the was gonna be a comedy it is not. I heard leveling system thought it was a lit RPG it was not. Read about dungeons thought it was a dungeon management book it was not.
So what is this book ? I’d say it’s a love letter to Norse mythology
And a power trip fantasy

I’ve read many amazing books a year and I can safely say this is one of one the book that’ll come back to

Pretty good.

Worth the listen, not a big fan of some of the narrators choices for his female voices though. Couple of audio repeats slipped in where the different takes were spliced but it didn't really bother me.

Couldn’t finish

Got to chapter 5 and couldn’t go any further. I was really bored with the entire book. This is more of an OP mc comedy book and just not for me.

terrible narration

probably would have been a good book I really enjoyed some of the authors other work but the narrator is just awful especially for female characters its like somebody stabbing you in the ears with a kazoo could not finish

Excellent

This book is really good, the narration is fantastic, the story solid and well rounded. Honestly, it felt like getting two books for the price of one.

Could Have Been Better

I almost never write reviews. I have returned a few books, but not that many. I returned this one... and I only had 1 1/2 hours left in the book, but I just couldn't/didn't want to finish it. That alone should let you know my feelings on this book.

I wanted to like this book, but the story is just meh, and the voice acting really isn't that great. I was lost several times trying to figure out who was who, and because of that completely missed what was said. I don't know how many times I feel asleep or just zoned out and had to rewind it.

Its not going to be the book you think it is. I read the summary and thought "oh this sounds interesting and funny". It wasn't. There are some one liners I laughed at. But the whole story feels kind of... dry. I tried slogging my way through it but just... couldn't. Maybe if it had a better narrator I would have enjoyed it more? I don't know.

jack really needs to rethink his female voices

this never bothered me before this book, but the female voices absolutely killed me. sounded like they all needed to pee

It's a wonderful story with only a pinch of Litrpg

I love this author's work, so I may very well be a biased opinion, but I very much enjoyed my time listening to this.

Walter Tye did nothing wrong . The story of a brilliant man overcoming small minded people for the greater good of all.
