Maeve finds herself in a desperate situation and runs to Jack, someone from her past to help her out of it, but is she willing to pay the price?

It took me a bit to get into the story, but overall it was enjoyable, plenty of twists and angst.

I already loved this book, but man, the narration upped it!! Then, I have a thing for accents, especially Irish ones, so yeah...
Though I truly wish dual audiobooks would have the female do female characters and the male, males. I have only seen this is one series I listen to though.

Good book

First time with this author and I must admit I enjoyed the book. The story However was not what I’m used to for a mafia book( it wasn’t that dark. My one complaint would be some of the stupid stuff the main female character did. I hate it when authors make us weak or stupid. Some parts she’s strong, other times, she runs off and almost gets raped ( what the hell did she think was going to happen with a drug dealer on his turf by HERSELF! and she took off a second time, but this time not attacked but could have been, etc.. overall good book though. I’ll keep going. Narrators we’re good!

Mafia Prince

Mafia Prince is the first book in the Young Irish Rebels series. This book is told from dual points of view from Jack and Maeve.

When Maeve's brother finds himself in a bit of trouble Maeve will do whatever she can to save her brother. She goes to her friend's brother who treated her like she was at the bottom of the earth when they were kids.

His price is for her to stay with him until something happens. However the longer she stays the more their feelings start to develop. Maeve's brother just keeps adding more debt, and her mother isn't helping matters. She's an alcoholic who chooses booze over her kids. Jack sees the situation Maeve is in and he doesn't want her returning there ever.

So much comes out of this story. A lot of twisted things I wasn't expecting, and I enjoyed every minute of it. You don't know who you can trust, and what's going to happen next. I can't wait to see where this story goes next with the next book!

Action Packed

I do enjoy a good mafia romance with extra spice. Bonus if it has action scenes. MMC was good, but the FMC…ugh! I get it, but how many times can one person blunder. 😂

Jack and Maeve perfect series start!

Jack O’Reagan, raised to be ruthless, rule without conscience, and never show weakness. Maeve Reilly, she’s known Jack forever, though he’s only let her see his cruel taunting side. Now years later she’s forced to approach him for help. The cost he demands in return is well, I’ll not engage in spoilers! Vi Carter has written a dark, twisted hot romance filled with rich, well drawn, fully developed characters, and a story so unpredictable that I was kept constantly off guard and on the edge of my seat. This story had it all, mystery, action, so much action, an excellent well developed plot, fabulous dialogue, sweet blazing heat and beyond brilliant narration. There is no lack of nefarious characters in this one. Truth be told, there are quite a few I would have cheerfully taken for a ride through the pine barrens! I was shocked and kept guessing right up till the end! I was also completely absorbed and I really wanted these two to find a way to find their forever. I also really loved how perfectly the author was able to wrap up this story with a perfect HEA while seamlessly setting up book two without resorting to any type of cliffhanger. Five star fabulous!

When’s the next release?????

I didn’t think I’d like the female narrator but I’m from Irish decent and love Irish mafia stories so I I took the chance. I love it and can’t wait for Irish King. Please please hurry! Lol

Wow wow wow! I loved it! This is the first book in the Young Irish Rebels series. This is also my first book by Vi Carter. This is an amazing dark bully Irish Mafia book. I can't wait for the next book! Now let's talk about the incredible narrating. This book is completely Irish accent. Michael Gallagher and Sarah Jane Rose did a fantastic job narrating with Irish accent.

Who can you trust??

This story had me hooked right away! I love the two MC. Maeve is the quintessential good girl…from the wrong side of the tracks. Jack is the son of the Irish Mafia king. His destiny is is set but it doesn't plan for the girl from his past. I love Maeve’s spunk and Jack’s determination.

This is a mafia read so there is a darker side than just the like/dislike of the MC’s. These mafia guys are no joke! They don’t hesitate to kill, maim, lie or cheat to reach their ultimate goal. I loved it all!

I did listen to this on audio. The narrators did a good job! Easy on my ears listening!
