A QUICK REVIEW.. THEN GLEEFULLY ON TO BOOK 2

The first chapter hooked me straight in and, by the second chapter, I knew the cliffhanger ending was going to absolutely crush me. An innocent ten year old child bought by an avenging family.. eight years of freedom until her eighteenth birthday.. all because of a father’s sin.

Damien Di Santo - an emotionless monster.. Cristina - a sacrificial lamb brought into darkness and trapped in a Contract of no escape.. and the monster comes to claim his revenge. Hand-fasted through bloodshed.. kindred spirits bound by secrets and revelations.. charged chemistry.. questions.. demands.. vengeance.. defiance.. fight.. an inexperienced virgin.. a possessive monster.. sexual awakenings and a frustrating cliffhanger.

WORTH A CREDIT? Absolutely yes, the sizzles are delicious, the suspense is gray and addictive, the giddy and gleeful anticipation is priceless and the well-written and well-paced dual POV plot is brought to life by two very good narrators.

Wow!

Just wow! This book is awesome! I can’t wait to start the next one! The story, the characters, wow! Beware though, while there is a sexy times, there is no actual sex in this book. I hardly missed it though - and that’s saying a lot since I read mostly erotica!

Looovveee Natasha!!

As usually this story didn’t disappoint I will say the two stories in this duet could have been combined. The male narrator is perfect!!! Not sure how I feel about the female narrator. All in all a good read!

Conflicted--- 2.5 stars

I am conflicted about how to rate this duet. Kale Williams did a good job on his dramatic performance, however Lisa Zimmerman was breathy, and at times annoying with her whispering. That being said I listened to both books and found that while the story was okay, there was no reason to stretch it out into two books. It would have been fine in one book. That being said there are no twists and turns, there are no surprises and this is a run of the mill so called dark story (which I consider an excuse to abuse the woman professed to be in love with). I did not feel a connection with this couple. I did not feel the so called affection they had for each other. This story is a 2.5 - 3 star listen for me based o story and plot.

Exceptional!

This book was outstanding. I was enthralled from the beginning. It’s one of those books you get lost in and can’t put down. Forbidden. Suspenseful. Sexy. And that ending! Diving into book two now!!! Great narration. Five stars all around. Highly recommend!

This book is AMAZING. The story is so interesting. I dont want to give it away. It is worth the money.

Cristina and Damian

Very good suspenseful book. Damian's father was horrible, although I understand after all he lost. Unfortunately, Cristina was just a young child when everything happened. There is no actual sex in this book, enough happened so it was not missed. Kale Williams did a great job with the narration. Lisa Zimmerman was good but sounded a little breathy at times.

Might have been better with different female narra

Ugh, thought maybe book 2 would make this better but omg who could care about these characters and why is the female narrator whispering all the time. Her simpleton mind could be because she's 18. Who knows. Don't bother with this series, so many better out there. I think this is my harshest review ever.

Holy Moly…I liked🎧listening to this book I just hate it ended in a cliffhanger NOOOOO! Now that I got that off my chest off to book 2. The narration was good on the male parts and a bit whiny on the female part maybe it was done purposely to depict a naive young girl? Is it worth the credit? Yes! Here I come book 2❣️

Good book

I'm not one for cliffhangers, as it puts me off and I always forget to look out for the next book.
So it may be a year two years before I come back to finish this series.
Sorry, overall nothing much happened really.
