When I knocked on Kirill Sabatin's door, I didn't know he was the Kozlov Bratva's most feared enforcer. I didn't expect him to be the most terrifyingly sexy man I've ever laid eyes on either.. Well then...Hostile taker over it is...
Give me a solid mafia romance any day! Add in a stand alone series with characters from the other stories within and I'm hooked! I do prefer having a male and female narration but truly this performance is solid! Francesca and Michael are an interesting match. Both doomed by their heritages but never giving up! Definitely a solid read/listen!

Mafia romance at its best
I enjoyed this like I did book one, even better I would say. Primarily cause the story didn't feel as rushed and the end was longer with more detail. MCs are both enjoyable and Michael is just sexy. Can be a trigger for Sexual assault so please know that going in, this is a dark Mafia romance so so expect all hearts and flowers. Jack Calihan kicked ass narrating, his deep voice is perfect for this type of character!

Not thrilled with Bimbo female character...
Struggled to finish...seems that is the case with almost all of the books by Piper that I have read and/or listened to. Not inclined to invest more time in her books when the female characters are all written as "Bimbo's".
Not sure how a woman can be angry at a "dominating" man that she is attracted to yet when he moves close to her or she can smell his "masculine scent" she loses all track of thought and becomes a bimbo?!?!? Ahhh....oh...Michael....etc.
If you are into this type of character along with a broody, dominant male, then you would probably enjoy Piper's books.
Jack does an ok job narrating, but I do not find his female character voices and sounds to be enjoyable. He does have a very deep voice that sounds great, but not doing both the male and female roles. I am sure there are better books suited for him or there should be a female actor to perform the female portions of the books he narrates.

if you like mafia stories you will love this.
This is a solid entry into the mafia romance genre. Enjoyed the back story and the narration by Jack Calihan as always hits all the right notes.

Dark Mafia Romance
This is the second book in the Mafia Masters Series. This is a dark mafia romance. Francesca and Michael's story is fast paced and intriguing. Michael is a Dom, commanding, ruthless, and powerful. Francesca, a mafia princess, is sassy, and strong. They share an instant attraction, and a sizzling chemistry. They are perfect together. The storyline is suspenseful. The supporting characters are intriguing. Jack Calihan did a great job with the narration.

Good story with excellent narration
This was a good addition to the Mafia Masters series. Francesca was only to be held captive until her father could pay a debt. It did not work out that way. I recommend this series if you like dark mafia romance.
Jack Calihan did an outstanding job with the narration. He is an excellent voice actor. I was given this free copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
