Love Irish Mafia!

Book 2 in the Dangerous Doms series by Jane Henry lives up to my expectations and gave me hours of entertainment. I love Jane’s writing, and each time I grab one of her books to listen to, I know I will be able to escape into another’s life. This series is a lot of fun because of the Irish background. Aileen is promised to be married, and Cormac becomes her groom. Expecting life to be like it was in her family, she is shocked by the way Cormac is so protective of her. There are some twists and turns in this, and suspense that I love, but I really enjoyed the twist of the accident. Leaving Aileen in the situation she was gave both characters some room to grow and we got to see Aileen’s strength and Cormac’s tenderness. I thought this truly gave depth to the story and a look at the different sides of people. We also get to see Keenan again, loving the fluidity of the series. It gives a real sense of camaraderie and family in this mafia story. I can’t wait to see what we Henry has in store for us with the next in the series.

The choice of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross for this series is genius. This team has such chemistry when they narrate and it flows through giving Aileen and Cormac that connection. I am so impressed with them both with the ability to speak with multiple characters with Irish accents, never missing a beat and keeping their sound consistent. They are amazing, and I loved their performance.

The audio was so well suited to the story and the dialogue very engaging. Had to listen to it twice because I had a “wait a minute” moment and was glad I did.

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the writing style. If you can suspend disbelief, you'll be fine. (Spoilers omitted.) I get a little picky on those details, but I still enjoyed the story. I must have read too many highlander time travel novels because I couldn't wrap my head around this being a contemporary story with all the talk about clans. The ending was very sudden; At first I thought it was the end of a chapter. Maybe an epilogue or lead-in to the next book would have helped. As for the "Dom" or BDSM elements, it was mild. Spanking, verbally dominant (not abusive) in and out of bed, stereotypical visit to a sex club.

Narration: I love the tone of Wen and Kai's voices, and they give a great performance, but the accents just didn't feel authentic to me. Not that I know anything about Irish accents.

HE BEATS HER VICIOUSLY!

I did not read these in order, I actually read Nolan 1st and I loved his story so I decided to read both Keenan than Cormack in proper order, Keenan was hard on Caitlynne w/ the belt but he HAD to punish her because his Father demanded it… and Keenan felt regret over what he had done still, but Cormac… he has Aileen at his mercy can punish her anyway he chooses and what does he do BEATS her OvER and Over w/ A CANE!!! And enjoys it too!!! Can’t wait till he can do it again!!!! And then has the GALL to think a black eye is a crime??????? I think ANY WOMAN would rather take a punch in the eye tan Beaten wildly w/ a Cain! It was so unreal! No woman would be able to walk being caned like that…. She would be bleeding…. Yet he has her walk down the isle? I don’t think the writer knows a lot about how these implants work! There is a reason people ONLY get 6 whacks w/ a cane yet he welds it like a thin paddle over and over! I could not stand Cormac after that… I never did… I would NOT have forgiven him unless he ADMITTED he beat her which she accused him of even later in the story! And HE just scoffs and says he spanked her… NOT Quite!!! If he could have showed an ounce of remorse I might have felt better… but He Never does!!! If you don’t like reading bout such MONSTERS skip him and read NOLAN who gave up drunk and is now a Real man who spanks but doesn’t Beat woman!!!

Cormac took one for the team and agreed to an arranged marriage to keep the order in their mafia world. His virgin bride was tough, but not really. It was convenient that she really liked kink, but she took her time falling in love with new husband.

This narrator duet are my favorite. I listened to several Audibles with this pair and they are incredible!

I loved it!💜

Another great story from Jane Henry. From the first chapter I was in. Angst, sex and power, this book has it all.
Regarding the narration, Kai & Wen are fantastic narrators who really know how to bring the characters to life even though for me this accent wasn’t my favorite. That said, it didn’t take anything away from the story. This is book 2 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I recommend this book.

Love books by Jane Henry. Listening to the narrator's brings the stories to life, as though the characters were really there speaking to you. It was so easy to easy to curl up with this book and just listen as the characters come to life.

Not a fan of Eileen

These narrators always bring their A GAME. Love them. They Story was rushed and Eileen is annoying from the very start, I mean not many people are happy as a betrothed bride but she knew that was her fate. Additionally, Cormac was tolerant of her behavior but Eileen had me skipping chapters because of her nonsense.

Boring

One of the most boring books I’ve ever listened to. I want my credit back!!!

Great action

This book is full of action. With lovely characters with great personalities this book had me hooked from the start. Both Kai and Wen have brilliant Irish accents, it gives the whole book a great feel to it.

Just love the Irish

This is another amazing series from the wonderful mind of Jane Henry’s, she writes mafia so steamy and filled with protective alpha men and this series has a notch up with an amazing Irish family.

Anything and I mean anything that Jane Henry does with Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross is second nature to be added to my library. I became so involved in the story that I didn’t even realize that I listened to book 2 first, yet loved it! Now I’m in for a treat because I have book 1 and Keenan’s story to hear now❣️ Cormac is dreamy with Wen’s Irish accent and Kai’s Eileen was so believable that I couldn’t believe when it ended and wanted more, and yay book 3 is out too!

I was so lucky to win this audiobook and I have to say it’s an amazing book and well worth a credit.
