Publisher's summary

Frank Bowen attempts to piece together a fractured life at home but finds himself pulled back into the dark state once again. Only, this time, he’s playing both sides.

Hired by John Rhodes, founding father of the Liberatus movement, his mission is to escort a valuable asset to South America. Then the spectre of Carl Paterson emerges and Frank finds he has to work once again with his old agency, Ghost 13. Later, in the depths of the Colombian Darien Gap jungle - swarming with narcos, paramilitary groups and bandits - Frank finds death and evil wait around every corner in the most inhospitable place on earth. This is the third fast-paced thriller in the Frank Bowen series by Jay Tinsiano.

Very well done

I was very surprised at how quickly I got sucked into Franks world. The whole book was very well done and action packed. I am very much looking forward to more in this series. The narrator did a very good job of bringing the characters to life and keeping you engaged the whole way through. I was given a free copy of this audio in return for an unbiased review.

Really cool story

This story was really cool, but the narration was so difficult for me to actually get fully submerged in the story..

If you can get past that, or even enjoy it for that matter, this is a really cool story for sure! I’d recommend it.

Excellent Conspiracy Thriller.

“Ghost Order (A Frank Bowen Conspiracy Thriller)”
Author: Jay Tinsiano
Publisher: Dark Paradigm Publisher (January 26th, 2019)

Narrator: Chris Macdonnell
Audible.com Release: April 22nd, 2019
Length: 7 hours and 1 minute (Unabridged)

Tinsiano creates an exciting series focusing on British Field Intelligence Officer Frank Bowen, the series hero and lead character, who traverses the world weaving in and out of the shadows full of agent spies, provocateurs, and paramilitary groups. In Ghost Order, Bowen willingly accepts a job to escort his employee’s asset which leads them deep into the drug laden Colombian Darien Gap jungle. Will Bowen succeed in keeping him and his asset alive? Tinsiano pens a fast-paced exciting thriller for readers of militarized action and conspiracy plots like Jason Bourne, 24, and Splinter Cell series.

British English narrator, Chris Macdonell, does a fantastic job reading Ghost Order providing an authentic sound for the British characters, as well as, believable voices for the plethora of characters from other countries. Macdonell especially shines with Bowen and is the perfect voice adding realism and depth for a character that could easily come across as a typical two-dimensional action hero with a different narrator. In Macdonnell’s hands, Bowen comes alive as a competent and skillfully trained agent with emotions, doubts, and as vulnerable to bullets as his enemies. Finally, with superb pacing and professional production values Macdonnell’s voice work should not be an issue for non-British English listeners.

Finally, this is the third book in the Frank Bowen Conspiracy series but can be fully enjoyed as a stand-alone. I am glad that I was provided a free audiobook copy at my request and voluntarily left this review. I am now a fan of Tinsiano and Macdonell and hope they partner again for future Frank Bowen books.

Good ending to the series

This is the final book in the Frank Bowen Conspiracy Thriller series. While this could technically stand on it’s own, I think it would be better enjoyed after listening to Pandora Red. Some of this review may contain spoilers to that book.

Poor Frank’s personal life is a bit of a mess. After the kidnapping & events in the last book, he’s separated from his wife. While Frank had intended to give up field work to try to repair his marriage – finances drive him to one more case. And it’s a doozy. This was another enjoyable book full of action, suspense, and trying to determine who is good and who is not. Not everyone is allied as they seem and it makes it difficult for Frank to stay alive and complete his mission.

I liked the way Tinsiano wrapped up this series.

Chris MacDonnell does a good job with narration again. A variety of voices & accents are well done. I always knew who was talking.

Good Intrigue

Intrigue once again with Frank. Undercover work cost him, things still aren’t as good for his wife and daughter as before. He takes a job, bored with his security job. Finds he is working with Ghost 13 again, the dark side, political and a nightmare. Given audio for my voluntary review review and my honest opinion
