Excellent storytelling
This is what I would call a good old fashioned action thriller. It never goes off the rails or attempts to subvert expectations in unwanted ways. What makes it a great story are deep, complex characters written with skillful words. I enjoyed the narrator's style, too. He has a good voice and uses his inflection to give each character their own voice. I highly recommend it and plan to get more from Will Jordan.

Awesome
Neat characters that are powerful, flawed and three dimensional with well rounded personalities. A solid story that doesn't leave a bunch of plot threads flapping in the wind.

Pretty damn good for a first novel
I'm a big fan of his youtube series, and figured I'd check out his books. Truly, to be a first book, it's a solid story. I'm looking forward to continuing on the Ryan Drake series and seeing Jordan get better with time.

Very Good.
Very entertaining story, full of intrigue; good performance, I like the character voices; good character descriptions & even better character development. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, though there is one scene that's a little racey for me.

Good Character Development
Will Jordan takes the time to develop his characters leaving just enough mystery around them to keep you on the edge. Story is plausible, main protagonist is believable, pace of the story is fair to good. Good points, when a character is injured, they don't bounce back like a super soldier (I think everyone hates that), and the way he ties events from the past and present is very well done.

great story, narrator not so much
ended up enjoying this more than I thought I would. the characters were pretty well developed, the story moved at a good pace, good balance of action and character development, and plotline with a lot of twists. My negative comments are with the narrator-his accents are odd and his German accent sounded like every bad impersonation of Arnold Schwarzenegger combined. Good beginning to a series
