Hot Ice

Fantastic Narration of My Favorite

Full disclosure: I LOVE this series - I own every "H.O.T." book released so far, including the spin-offs, so I knew that the story would be fantastic. "HOT Ice" is the 7th book in the original series, and it's my FAVORITE in that line. I'll also say that I'm super picky about narrators, and was hesitant to hear ANYONE try to bring Garrett (AKA "Iceman") to life. I am SO glad that I did! Mr. Snow seems to have a gift for creating subtly different accents, inflections, and mannerisms as he shifts from character-to-character in scenes with lots of dialog. It's easy to pick out who he's voicing, after just a short time.

The plot of this book is integral to the over-arching Plot in the HOT books, with lots of minor threads being pulled. Lynn Raye Harris' is at the height of her skills with foreshadowing, and keeping the Reader guessing and invested in her characters. I adore Iceman, and feel such kinship with Grace (Introverts Unite - but not in a crowd, please-and-thank-you).

When you press "Play," you better be sure you have lots, and lots of uninterrupted time, because you will NOT be able to do other things while you're listening to "HOT Ice." And when it's done... you're gonna need to grab the next book, STAT.

Great character and world building. I enjoyed all of the characters and adventures or misadventures.

Another great book

This HOT series is amazing the plot is realistic the dialog is believable and the narrator Aiden Snow voice is hot . If I didn't have to work I'd would have listened until done.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narrator was great.

suspense

changed review Jan 2024 after a 2nd listen. First rating was a 3 but I liked it better this time.
The H.O.T backstory is always enjoyable. Lots of different groups come into play here and that made it very interesting.

loved that I could not guess how it would end. the HOT team is great. AS is THE best narrator. this female main character was a psych job. she says, "just sex, no commitment..... why are you distancing yourself?" She improved further into the story.

Grace and Iceman

The book originally came out in 2015, but after listening to Hot Angel (Saint and Brooke's book) I decided I really wanted to go back and listen to Hot Ice, where we first met Brooke and where she was abducted to use as leverage against Grace, her best friend. Grace is a Senator's daughter who currently running for President and a she is scientist who is working with virus'. Now someone wants what she has discovered and will stop at nothing to get it..

Saint is brought on as security for her after an attack at her office and lets just say they both have very bad first impressions of each other. His only concern is his daughter, and lets just say his first impression of Grace reminds him too much of his ex.

This was such a great listen and made the miles fly back while listening. Of course after 2 years of Covid, listening to this again now made me keep asking where the H.O.T. team was when we needed them. LOL

This whole series is incredible and I highly recommend it!

Great book!

This is the first book that I’ve listened to for this author and she picked a great narrator. I’ve listened to books read by this narrator so I wasn’t surprised I loved it.

I’ve only read one book in the HOT series but I won this on the author’s Facebook page but I didn’t feel not reading the previous books made a difference. I loved the story line and loved how the MC’s connected with each other. I would definitely recommend this and can’t wait to start others in this series.
