The Thramas Crusade draws to its inevitable conclusion, with the forces of the Dark Angels and the Night Lords locked in a struggle which neither side can abandon.

The Night Haunter lies comatose after being mauled by his primarch brother Lion El'Jonson, and in his absence it falls to Sevatar and the remaining members of the Kyroptera to command the Legion. But the self-styled 'Prince of Crows' has his own plans to save the Night Lords from annihilation - plans he intends to follow, with or without his comrades in tow.

I haven't liked most of the audio books from black library that i have listened to. Way to much shooty sound effects and not enough good story. This one was really good, and had me pulled into the story trying to figure out what was going to happen. I was trying to remember some of the 30k lore that i know about Curze, who is definitely not the main character in this book, and loving how it all turned out. It really brings the flavor of the Night Haunter to the table, yet from his point of view he is the Jesus Christ of Nostramo. Holy crap, this book just really made me appreciate what happened to Curze and how messed up he is. Great story. highly suggested.

40K at its finest!

Sevatar... ah, Jago. Best character in 40k hands down and this novella gets straight to the heart of that.

A focus on Sevatar and an insight into Konrads youth on Nostramo. Very good character work.

Excellent and required reading Night Lord story

The 8th Legion truly does have some great stories about them. I cannot wait for the others after this.

This made me appreciate the Night Lords

Absolutely outstanding book Jonathan Keeble’s voice is pristine for Sevatar. If you haven’t read The Long Night, it would pair well after finishing this book. Everybody saying, the voice doesn’t match the character, it 100% does. Do not listen to other people‘s reviews.
