He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me the day he married my sister instead of me. So I did the only thing a girl like me in my position could do. I got my revenge. I married his brother, Kael. Now we're one big happy f--king family.

Love triangle at it's finest

So so so good. The angst is so good in this story; so many twists and ups and downs it was great. The story starts when Mav is about to marry Kale but is in love with his brother! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the story is told in both the present and the past. All the back and forth was annoying but the story is so good that I didn't care. The narrators where great as well!

Complicated

Goodness, this was a wild ride. From the very beginning you are not sure who the h will choose. Who the H will end up being. This is a love triangle that kind of breaks your heart. Because you kind of love both options. But in the end I loved how the story ended. And felt like the ending tide up all the loose ends and my heart was happy.

Narration sold this book

I used to purchase books base on story line but awhile back after discovering some awesome narration I started to see a pattern, I have a few narrators (male) that just don’t do BAD! So Tad Branson is one of those few. I looked at and purchased this book totally because of him, almost returned it until I realized why I purchased it and who was narrating it and boy am I glad because not only was narration awesome so was author and story! I’m sorry there are not more by this author, but hope when she does put more out she will always remember good narrators send a good book into a great book or take a good book and turn it into not so much! Loved Kale and Mavericks story and will look for more by KL Kraig.

Angsty, emotional and greatly performed!

I've had this audio in my library for a while and had been saving it for when the time felt right... and am so glad I did. This story has a great angsty feel, a sense or emotion that gives it great backbone and makes the listener engaged and the performance is beyond reproach. Both Ava & Tad took the nuances of these emotions and elevated them to great heights. The time jumps within the structure of the book is basically the reason why I can't give the story all the stars. Other than that it's a solid, beautifully narrated story.

Mixed feelings

i really liked this book, it was a nice read especially since i was starting to feel like all the books were becoming cliche. But! and this is mainly just personal opinion and didn't really take away from the book overall. Maverick was annoying at times and did not deserve Kale.
