I have never felt the need to write a review on any book,until I read this one,it is a must read for anyone who wants to know why none of the other diets have not worked,as I went with my lab top to the coffee shop,I thought I would start to listen to his book,two hours and eight minutes later I was still at the coffee shop,as it came to an end,I knew I would be listening to this again and again, what a great read and his voice ,well,you could listen to him talk all day,Yes,I think I am ready ....

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Although I enjoyed listening to Are You Ready, I don't think it really has any original material. I mean that I've read/heard it all before. That being said....I do need to hear it again and again. I'm giving this book an overall rating of 4 stars because the PDF file that comes with it is very helpful. The list of food and the menus are similar to other plans, but the pictures of how to do the exercises are easier for me to follow than other examples I've seen.

I have watched Bob Harper on the Biggest Loser and always thought his approach was always a bit "soft" for me but decided to purchase this audiobook anyway. I am glad I did. I listened to the first part, taking notes on an old envelope as I drove down the road (not safe... I know!!) Decided that I would purchase the Kindle version for reference.
I am taking each of the recommended steps one at a time and working through them.

I LOVED “The Biggest Loser” show even though I relate more to Jillian Michael’s “in your face” style nonetheless I bought this book because I wanted all the trainer’s perspectives.

In my normal form, I bought the book in print and the audio book so I could read in print and listen while working out.
I noticed that there is FAR more “story” content in the printed book than in the audio version.

I love the fact that there is an accompanying pdf printable but it is a grey-tone version where the printed book is a BEAUTIFUL full-color spread!

Overall, I would buy both again!! Just remember not to cheat yourself on the journey of finding your BEST Life choices! :)

I love this book. I have been a trainer for over 5 years now and this book has made me rethink many of my philosophies as a trainer. Bob is a big hero of mine and I think all trainers should hear what he has to say about fitness and health.
